A new bike without insurance? Being a co-signer, that bike is essentially yours as well.

Because I am a registered owner of the vechile(co-signer) I am responsible for insurance on a vehicle I don't ride? This kind of sounds like if you loaned your vehicle to me and I got a speeding ticket and you got one because you were the registered owner? I am currently having a lawyer look at the documents that I just received. Anyone know if there is a way I can use my current insurance on bike to avoid SR22? Same bike different year R6 06.. mines a 07
Crap, you gotta be kidding??? Your screwed because of that, even if you were only a co-signer? It's not like you loaned your bike out to someone, or do they consider you the owner since you co-signed?

Yeah I was a bit surprised myself to find this out. Technically I am a registered owner of the vehicle which makes me responsible for insurance(on a vehicle I don't drive). Something like this happened to a friend at work.. Her dumb b/f at the time borrowed a car no one else drove, because it did not have insurance.. and she had to get an SR22 for that I haven't heard back from my attorney yet but I'm having them look at the documents DMV sent me just the other day. Thankfully I have a prepaid legal insurance, so I don't have to pay for this crap there too.

Holy ! My agent referred me to dairyland and I'm not paying that much! I'm also a 21yo male and I have a Red(don't know if color has anything to do with it) 2008 triumph daytona 675 and I'm paying about $1560 a year with full coverage.. PM me I can give you my agents number if you want

Country sounds good, quoted me at 25 a month for full (with a solid record), but Eric was quick to point out if ANYTHING happened they would pull....a little too insecure for my taste...
I have been with them all...State Farm has been the best thus far! I pay less than 20 a month for full coverage. (However, I am old and have never been in an accident on the bike...)
I am curious how much this affects rates?? Is it truly based on cc's or how little altercations you have had on said bike?? or altercations in driving history period??
