Still a bit of gravel on the back way to bald peak (or if you leave the park and turn left and go DOWN, be extra careful ..you'll see the gravel. Another guy came up on a G1K and said the normal way (the longer twistier way) wasn't bad at all. The back side had more gravel on the downhill side. Was tip toeing through there. That was a fun ride. Good thing we didn't cancel and the weather was cooperating! |

| Training Wheels Joined: Mar 2009 From: Portland, OR I Ride: 09 Kaw Concours14 | does someone want to tell the story about the Honda Ceeveec with the fart-box? After I had shown everyone where they needed to go on the freeways, I was cruising along at about 75 on I-84. Man.. I said to myself. Wouldn't it be something if I got a ticket now, after all we did today? I decided to slow down, and headed over to the slow lane. A guy on a burgundy sport-bike with a white leather riding jacket passed me doing about 20+ over, and waved. I waved back, and thought nothing more about it. Two seconds later, a burgundy newer model Mustang flew past me, dove in behind said sport-biker, and hit the lights.. Poor guy. Say. If you're on this board, and were pulled over on I-84 eastbound right around the 205 at about 6:30p, lemme know. sux, dude. Yep, it was great meeting you guys, and I'm glad my iPhone was put to some good use. Looking forward to rides in the future. Last edited by Angus McGee; 03-21-2009 at 08:58 PM.. |

Just another Honda CIVIC thinking its fast (typical). Trying to show off and nothing but black smoke clouds happen , than after the smoke clears the Honda is in the same place as before![]() ![]() ![]() .... hahaha. well... needless to say. Mr. potato cannon over here decides he is going to give them a taste of the concours and show they what speed looks like without smoke state trooper with her radar gun out the window. Not sure why she let everyone go by without stopping anyone of us. (because I'm sure we were all speeding) but nothing happened. Try to keep that cannon under control next time David. making us all look bad out there. gee. i mean who speeds at a time like that.![]() Last edited by Rider4Life; 03-21-2009 at 10:49 PM.. |

So i give it some gas, not wanting to lose sight of them. As i'm rolling off, I see the state trooper to my right. 4 letter word. Shout out to the trooper who cut us a break. The last time i did that in cali, it cost me $300 bucks, doing the same goofy shi*. I usually am just putting along 90% of the time and cars are passing me by, but the one time you nail it. Whoop, there it is. I still can't believe we didn't get "tagged". Pun intendo. P.S. -Angus told me that thing weighs 45 lbs. That can is almost as tall as I am. Mods, please change my name to "Mr. Potato Gun". no, not really I so thought I was busted. That trooper had me dead to rights. I must have been doing over 90. I saw the patrol car, and almost did a stoppie I hit the brakes so hard. Damn Ceevic. The pendejos pulled up next to me and let their fartbox rip. The noise startled me more than anything. Sudden loud noises at 70+ mph are rarely a good thing. I caught Rider's attention, and he was laughing at them. Like Rider said, I was trying to teach them a lesson about messing with sport-bikers.. Little did I know that Oregon's Finest was a-waitin'. I was already budgetting for the fine when she never pulled out. (how often do you hear THAT one?) ![]() |

I don't want to step on any toes, but the weather isn't condusive to a ride today. I'll post the pic, but let's not make it official until the other guys agree with it, okay? ![]() Notice the pic is of the bike's "good side"? (no potato gun) Last edited by Angus McGee; 03-22-2009 at 01:46 PM.. Reason: typo.. sorry about that ,dcam |

| Training Wheels Joined: Mar 2009 From: Portland, OR I Ride: 09 Kaw Concours14 | Just the opposite. I'm being fair, by trying to make the tag a team thing, and not just mine alone. There were 6 of us that went out to Bald Peak Park, and we all deserve to know where the next photo was taken. If dcam wants to know, he should be able to. And yes, the mechanic on Dukes was named Cooter. |

I wasn't posting it up saying that I tagged it. I posted it up in response to 8lives saying it was going to be hard to find. This tag is still active. |

| Training Wheels Joined: Mar 2009 From: Portland, OR I Ride: 09 Kaw Concours14 | another hint... You can see this spot from one of Portland's main freeways. It's not at one of the busiest spots on that freeway (within the city limits of Portland), but it's still one of the main ones. |

| Training Wheels Joined: Mar 2009 From: Portland, OR I Ride: 09 Kaw Concours14 | its funny.. When I took that picture, I had no intention of making it part of a photo tag contest, and I had no idea it would be so difficult to find. For those who are out looking for the spot, there's a sign that I cropped on the right side of the photo. If you wanted to include that in your shot, I'd be fine with that. And be careful. When you're on the right track, it comes up awful fast. |
