TAG





This one was really hard! and close to my house

Location:From Salem travel north on Highway 213 (Silverton Road NE) about 14 miles to Silverton. At Silverton travel north on Highway 214 to Hobart Road. Turn west on Hobart to Gallon House Road (0.5 mi.). Turn north on Gallon House Road.


Lena, I will need to go back to ride those roads. Looks like you did some miles today.

I will post new tag soon or tomorrow.

Hey, Nathan and Dave, you can't just rename a bridge like that, gotta apply for permit with the local jurisdiction, submit all the paperwork and pay the fees! Pay the fees, dammit! (gotta work the system to put bread on the table).

Funny, I bet people that live by the bridge couldn't figure out why they had such an invasion of bikes today, 'cause I am sure they are used to having pictures taken.

Same thing this morning with the boat launch, there were two guys launching a boat so we waited until they were done, then descended down the ramp as far as we could, while they watched from the boat with curious faces: "are they really gonna do it? nah, just the rear wheels, they are not that insane, phew!"

I say it's a free for all at this point. From the people that have tagged the bridge, the first to get a new photo put up is the next tag.

Well we have a tag that we were going to use... I'll let fz6rider decide whether I should go ahead and post mine, or whether he wants to get one soon.

But going forward that's a good idea: if the new tag isn't up within 2 hours, the previous tag is re-opened!

2 hours? really? isn't that kind of a short amount of time. what if the tag is one place and the new tag you want to use will take you 4 hours to get to? and some of us like to enjoy our ride(twisties) and not rush to one place just to take a picture. can't we say like 2 days or maybe even just 1.

2 hours isn't my idea, it's the existing time limit from several pages ago, so people who want to go tag something can

but also, you can take as long as you want to find your new tag, you just have to wait to post the first tag until you are ready with the new one.

anyway the point is to get the new one up so people who have time for a ride can play. i don't really care about rules or whatever

rules? who needs them right? hahaha No big deal to me either.


I think what we all need to do is come up with a set rules that aren't changed every 2 pages. that way everyone knows what to do and their time limits

I think the person who started this thread, uponit, should be involved in any new rules.

I will have new picture in no time. It wont be the place I wanted to post beacause I cant get to it today - its 80 miles away, but I will have something to stop some members from

Rules: I agree there should me some rules changed. For example, why cant I go south of Salem? We have good number of riders in that area and good roads. Anyways, rules are made to be broken .

This is not the best I can think of but due to lack of time it should do for now.

EDIT: this is the Union Pacific #1785 in Woodburn, just South of hwy 211 in downtown Woodburn (just get off 214/211 at Front street, head South over the overpass, and you'll see it on the East side of the street in less than a mile). it is claimed that this is the best cosmetic restoration for an engine of it's era West of the Mississippi.




Good thing I got this one, cuz I got pulled over going to get it

Oh and this was funny, as I got off my bike after pulled up to take the photo, I noticed my odometer reading:

hahaha I think the guy that lives down the road thinks I was nuts he was checking his mail when I pulled up. hell the alpacas probably do too.


and for those of you who don't know where this is it's on scholls ferry road/river road in hillsboro between farmington road and 210. it's just an alpaca farm.
