With all this rain we may all have to dig out our old photos and use them. The only thing is it would have to be on a group ride so others could have a chance to tag it.

Something like this:

[IMG][/IMG]

Of course any die hard that goes out in the rain and wet streets and takes a photo will trump any archive photos, just a thought.

Kinda defeats the purpose of going out and riding and finding new roads. Why not just make them closer and accessible for this time of year.
The Rules:

* To start, I will post a photo and a clue.

* Individually (or as a group), other participants ride to the same place and get a photo with THEIR bike at the same spot.

* The first person to "tag" the photo by posting their photo then posts the next photo for people to find. He/she is "it". One "it" at a time kids.

* The boundaries will be the Columbia River to the North, the Cascades to the East, Salem to the South, and the Pacific on the West

If no one is able to identify the tag, the poster can give progressively easier clues until someone finally finds it. The idea isn't to stump people, but to get people down interesting roads, so folks should be able to figure it out somehow. If nobody can figure it out in a week then "it" needs to tell folks where the site is, and the first person to post is then the next "it".

and that is why I've never used this tag, though it would be a great one.

As I stated, it is not intended as a replacement for the regular photo tag just something else to do during the bad weather.

There is no New Tag, we are still waiting for someone to get yours. Where are all those people that like to ride in the rain.

OK if no one gets this before Saturday I will go and get it. I would get it sooner but my work schedule really doesn't allow for me to get out on weekdays.

I would go get it if I had any idea where it was, but I'm completely clueless on this one

Probably the most visited scenic viewpoint in the Columbia River Gorge. Hard to miss.

Good job, phlamb! Remember you're also supposed to post the location you tagged - for those who don't know.

Your new tag has already been used, oh, maybe three times in this thread. But I don't blame you - nobody sane is gonna read through all the pages.

Since you didn't know (I assume), I suggest we (those who have played already and have seen it already) leave it for those who don't know.

Whoops, updated my post with the location.

I was afraid someone else might already have used that location, and I did read through quite a few pages of this thread, but must've missed those ones.

Can you be a little more specific? There are around 10 different small airports in that distance.

Chehalem Airpark
Chehalem airpark airport. Done. After riding through several downpours, 10 minutes of hail, (not sleet, real hail) and several wrong turns...

Done riding for the day, but i have an idea for the tag spot... Tomorrow!

P.S. my first post here, love the phototag idea!
P.P.S. XBswede: I was there (vista house) the night before, but my camera has no flash! foiled again...

New Tag
Duly noted, lena. Here it is:

New clue:
This road connects between HWY 30 (to St. Helens) and Skyline, and is east of Cornelius Pass, west of St. Johns Bridge.

Parking is not easy and the roads are wet and covered with decomposing big leaf maple leaves, so be careful. GREAT roads in the summer. have fun!

Sweet! I think a lot of us know where that is. The trick will be to get there when it's not pouring. Today wasn't bad!
