PNW Riders

I am getting my bike back either today or tomorrow, and with me working Friday through Monday, I am looking to get on a ride Wed or Thur of next week. I know it is a little early, but hey, this gives guys a chance to jump on the bandwagon. I and not familiar with good twisties, so I am just looking to piggyback on another ride. Anybody have any ideas?

I guess I am a little ahead of the game, I am extremely eager to get my bike back from GP Suspension, and I just got a message saying it will be done tomorrow.

Daylight savings kicks in March 9th I believe. We should get those Wednesday standing west side rides going again.

I have not been on Skyline in a few weeks, other than gravel here and there, it is not too bad.

Well, with tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday off, I am down for westside Wednesdays. As it turns out, the bike stays put till Monday, so I can take a drive down skyline to check the conditions in my cage tomorrow.

Just went on most of Skyline today, it's pretty awesome already. Only a couple of corners with gravel. Go, go, go!

Not even that wet.

Passed four oncoming sportbikes (I guess no one from here), waved at all of them and none waved back. Must have been because it was a good tight right hander (at least for me

).

Skyline ride report as of 3/5/09 at about 2:45pm:

Water: Yes, the road is wet in more places than not
Dirt/Sand/Gravel: Negligible

Yesterday on my return trip from GP Suspension, I took a trip down Springvale and parts of Skyline, and the beaverton/hillsboro side of Germantown. The road isn't too terrible, just wet mostly. No real standing water, and it was nice to see that there wasn't much gravel.

I just returned from a run on skyline and it is nice

There were a few wet spots, but the bigger problem were the cars slowing me down

I have a couple other guys from another forum interested too. Lets come up with a meetup spot, and start westide wednesdays back up. Hit skyline, germantown, mcnamee, and some of the other great ones back in there.

Chevron/Starbucks on Skyline, right off HWY 26 maybe at 3:30/4? Weather looks good for Wednesday if we go by the projeted forecast

However, with the threat of snow this weekend, I hope the city of PDX does not find it neccessary to pour gravel up there again for 1/2 in of snow
