It is so no one gets lost. If the rule is followed, then everyone will regroup eventually and it allows those in front to ride their own pace without having to slow or stop at every intersection to make sure everyone is caught up.

Also, at many major intersections, we will stop as a group to regroup.

Hey guys, I had a good time out there. Fingers are still a bit nippy, but other than that it was a good refresher after a winter off the seat.

Well, my brakes are now probably ok, I did some research and found out the rotors I put on the front were junk, so I had to replace them with my stock rotors. That is why I didn't make it. Maybe next week depending on the weather. Really wish I could have been there.

Thanks for the ride along. G00se, I really like your Honda and, Saltlick, that is a fine looking Monster too. I think I met you once before. Didn't you meet with a bunch of us, including cbr_femme, down at the Starbucks at Murray and Allen last year?

I wasnt there for the ride today, no dont think that was me. Was there a monster on the ride today? Maybe it was 8 lives?

Who was this rouge monster rider? I have a black 750 with chopped black cans, clip-ons and 666 in red lettering on the side of my bike. Dam i wish it was me.....

I didnt even know there was a starbucks on the corner of Allen and Murray, isnt that where the safeway is?

Saltlick wasn't able to make it today his tank is being repaired i believe. That was my monster you saw today. It is not me you are thinking of that you met last year. I went on a klickitat ride last year and now this ride today. I will try and make it out again for another ride.

Thanks for coming out everyone!

We had 12 riders. These rides must have something going for them if they bring out such long-timers as 307T, Recr8ton, mfrankpdx, Polvo2, and Saki.Girl.

The roads were dry and mostly debris-free. The pace was moderate. Nobody was lost and no one crashed. Rode for about an hour and still had daylight to get us to the Eastside eat and greet.

Looking forward to many more Wednesday rides this summer.

The girl and I may be out next week as well. She is itching to get back on the bike and go for rides. She is a little nervous, but her and I can keep a fairly low/moderate pace at the rear. She is a lot better passenger than she realizes.

Yeah i was impressed how much advise my wife took on this ride with me and made the ride way more enjoyable for the both of us. it was the first time she was one the bike for more than an hour without complaining. She even started telling me to go faster through the corners so she can know how to lean and know how it feels. She doesnt realize she already does but i guess shes getting more comfortable.

We had way too many stickies. People have a tendency to skip over them anyway, but this one is popular enough it will get bumped to the top every week.

Can't have too many stickies, in my opinion, so long as they are truly of lasting value. They are like the North Star of Portland area posts. They don't move and you can guide your weekly activities by them.

Yes, you can. If you look at the rest of the forum, there are two or three stickies tops. The problem is not only some people don't look at them, if there are too many, they start taking up the whole screen and you don't see the current posts anymore.

Again, that's my opinion and some admin staff too. If the majority of PDX wants them back, we can do that.

I agree, I tend to zip right past the stickies most of the time. Maybe one official sticky with links to the topics for meets, rides, etc?

That is saying that we are so lazy we can't even scroll any more...I mean there is even a specialized button on your mouse for it. I vote for it being a sticky once more.

Yes, I disagree. I am a scrolling maniac, and I can ignore the stickies unless they are in bold; then, I know there is a new post inside the sticky and I look.

That's a lot easier than scrolling down and reading each thread topic to find the recurring items. That's the whole point of having stickies, isn't it? So, you don't have to search for recurring items and to keep them from needing to be bumped continuously.

And, who cares what the rest of PNWR-dom does? We're iconoclasts in Portland. We came up with the standing ride, the mentor-mentee training, the photo tag and the notion of treating our fellow Portland rider with respect rather than disdain.

I remember the very first standing ride. It was Transported, Fun4i, StDave, couple of others that I don't recall, and I. Man that was almost two years ago. Sticky this 'ish. East side ride as well.

Drazen, quit getting sentimental, sticky, schmicky. Which east side ride, I don't see any yet, Lee is slacking on the east side and chiming here instead!

What is with these mods in Portland area...nothing but lip all the time!

I think Lee would be a lot more encouraged to put one together, if he did not see the poor state of sticky moderating in the PDX section.

We Eastsiders do not like riding in the rain and cold we leave that to the Westside folks. April looks like a great month to start the Eastside rides so save our Sticky Place.

Yeah you always meet at Strarbucks so you can sit around and decide if the rain is going to stop. I bet you guys all wear 1 piece leather suits.
