| MotoGP Champion | It was a good turnout, with 13 riding. Mark (mfrankpdx) led down Skyline then right on Germantown to 30 then up McNamee then back on Skyline and out to Rocky Point, then back on Skyline to Sylvan. Damion (running sweep) and I got separated when I had to make an impromptu nature visit on McNamee and I sent us on a loop past Rock Creek Tavern and Helvetia Inn. [Note: Please, everyone, wait at all intersections to be sure the person behind you has caught up and knows where to turn. It is your responsibility to make sure no one gets lost.] Back at Logie Trail, where we texted the group, an undercover dark gray police car came up Logie and then onto Skyline back toward Sylvan. So, Damion and I took it easy until Drazen (DGA) and Harvey (hooligan) caught up to us at Cornelius Pass, where we stopped and reformed the group then congregated before parting ways at the lot across from Skyline Burger. I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. It was cold, but the roads were in pretty good shape. Sorry we missed you, Matt and Amber. We even left a bit late (6:15). I was pleased to see how everyone stayed together with no mishaps this early in the season on roads this challenging. Should be a good riding season ahead of us. |

| MotoGP Champion | No problem. Wasn't so bad because I know the roads so well, there was little chance of me getting lost. And, I've failed to wait, too, at times. But, it really makes the ride work seamlessly if that rule is adhered to. |

Some gravel on both roads, I think you just have to expect some gravel on McNamee due to the amount of gravel driveways. McNamee is a fun road. I'd like to ride a supermoto on that thing! See ya guys at 6. |

| MotoGP Champion | The plan is to leave as close to 6:00 as possible. I can only get there by about 6:00. We should be on the road by no later than 6:15, ideally. |

I do know that I don't want to be right on top in some of those sharp slow corners an low side it. Also what is flat footed?? thanks for the advice though. I'll take as much as I can get! |

| Zone Head Joined: Jul 2008 From: beaverton, or I Ride: like a cholo | As far as footing, I would say ask transported how to have your feet on the rearsets. I may be wrong but i think you want to be on the ball of your foot... Like i said, im no pro, i just try to pass on advise as it was given to me... The reason i say get off the bike more is because it looks like you are just turning in you seat in comparisson to moving over and getting a cheek off. I feel like im saying something wrong so will someone correct me please, i dont want to give bad advise. |

I could probably reach over the seat/tank easier using my feet more... I'll give it a try. thanks man. either way It was great out there tonight! |

But yes, balls of your feet on the pegs, for cornering clearance. I scraped my boots before I realized that I wasn't doing it right.Soil though, Mr Slingshot, should we change your screen name to that? ![]() BTW, Saki Girl, nice avatar. As a matter of fact, since Mr P is currently not available ... ![]() Last edited by lena; 04-22-2009 at 10:41 PM.. |
