| MotoGP Champion | Never thought of her as a girl. If I anthropomorphize at all, it is picturing the Japanese engineers breathing life into the formerly inanimate object. They gave it its character. The cooling fan never came on this spring. And, I've got a front-end chatter when braking that I can't figure out (steering head bearings? rotor? suspension?). Nothing big. I just want to take care of them before I go on longer rides. |

| MotoGP Champion | I just called. They wired the fan to stay on all the time that the bike is running. And, the front end and brakes check out, except the steering head bearings needed some tightening. D&S rocks! I'm picking it up tonight, but it will be too late to make the ride. Have fun, y'all! |

Happy Birthday Cindy, thanks for the pizza and putting up with all the bike talk . Thats pretty darn cool that the whole family enjoys bikes. Won't be able to make it to the wed ride again until July 22nd, I'll be in Europe for three weeks. |

Brian, thanks for making sure I knew where to catch up with you guys. no worries on having to get the group going. the traffic jam on the I-5 bridge really made me wish that lane splitting was legal in WA/OR. It was cool to see the experienced riders going out of their way to make the less experienced ones feel more comfortable. And I was able to sneak up front later on and have enough fun to make my trip out there worthwhile. Of course, after I got home I had to jump online and start looking at track days again. ![]() Thanks again. I'll have to try to make it out for more of these... |

If I owned one of those things I would probably get in trouble for riding it in a public park or something. |

Picked it up by the 2nd half and felt much better. Went to Eva and studied later I still feel like... tired! Good night Have a happy one! pv2 |

Now that I'm not busting my a** working on my jeep, I just might be able to carve out some time. (it's amazing how much work it takes to get the HEEP ready to take down to Moab and beat the crap out of it on their slickrock...) |

| MotoGP Champion | I am more than likely in for tonight, if it doesn't rain. If you are new to this ride, then please be sure to talk to the ride leader to go over the instructions for attending a group ride. That is better than having the leader bore regulars with the details. |

| Newbie Joined: Apr 2009 From: Beaverton, or I Ride: BMW F650 GS | i guess it is my turn now... Unfortunately for me yesterday didn’t turn out that good. Towards the end of the ride up McNamee I went over some gravel in the middle of a turn and took a spill. I am perfectly fine... lucky I was able to walk away unhurt and was able to ride the bike home. My bike with dual sport tires generally handles gravel pretty good. I guess I was cocky that probably contributed to my fall. I must have leaned quite a bit because nothing registered in my mind before I hit the pavement. One thing I did wrong for sure was that I was in the middle of the lane. If I had stuck closer to the double yellow to the tire tracks I would have had a clean pavement. Thanks to everyone for helping me get back on the bike and making sure that I was ok. Hopefully I could get my bike fixed pretty soon. |

A lot of people who bite it-and meet new friends coming the other way- hang too close to that center line. Glad you are OK! Yes, too much gravel on that road; which has a number of us are thinking, the placement of gravel has been purposely done. Care to us all on these roads! Drag a knee! Best to you&your bike, pv2 | |

| Zone Head Joined: Jan 2007 From: Washington County I Ride: Harley custom | ![]() McNamee is a narrow and sometimes tight road. Same with Logie Trail and some parts of Rocky Point Road. Gravel happens. Expect it. No one is deliberately spreading gravel on the road to make it more hazardous. |
