  1. Oregon Motorcycle Bill Updates 07/03/15

Increased Speed Limits for Eastern Oregon passes the Senate! So many highways in the eastern part of the state plod along at 55MPH – now many of those highways have gone up to 65MPH or 70MPH. This is a refreshing changed for those who have to do a considerable amount of driving in that part of the state. Also, our new speed limits line up much closer with our neighbors to the north, south, and east of us. I84 will go up to 70MPH from The Dalles to Idaho. All others will go from 55MPH to 65MPH. This bill does not change the speed limits in the urban areas of the western part of the state (sorry).

    Increased Speed Limits

House Bill 3402: Increases speed limit for passenger vehicles and other vehicles on segments of Interstate 84, Highway 95, Highway 20, Highway 197, Highway 198, Highway 31, Highway 78, Highway 395, Route 205 and Highway 26. Exempts portions of Highway 95, Highway 20 and Highway 197 that fall inside of city limits. This has passed through both houses and at this point requires the signature of the Governor. Speed limits will be applicable March 1, 2016.
