Who would you use? If looking at a new Yamaha, I am not above traveling if savings is to be had. I was going to start out calling asking for OTD prices on the FJ-09, it seems dealer fees vary a lot. Not sure if I would trade the Tuono or keep it and sell on my own, I dont think a trade in will get me an acceptable amount.
Did we lose the ability to edit posts? Couple things that may or may not be important. 1. Own Tuono 2. could go 5k down if it helped the deal 3. outside financing at 2.2% pre approved Are bike dealers the same as cars where they get $$ for doing in house financing as well? I am betting yes.
I am not sure where to buy but I do know you do not want to tell the dealer you have outside financing until necessary. bob
I'd highly recommend swinging over to CDA and visiting Specialty Recreation. Greg has helped me and another fellow FZ rider pick up our bikes with very little hassle and great service. Feel free to PM me for more details!
My dealings with Westside have all been pleasant, though that's been gear and tire kicking to this point
It's a bit far away but Sublimity Powersports is selling the FJs for $9,999 OTD......no freight/setup or other fees. I got my FZ from them and couldn't be happier with the process. They are a no BS dealer.
Called Greg, straight shooter. No Freight or set up, $94 dollar doc fee is all. He said they likely wont want the Tuono.... hmm what do....
Nice! I'm glad that Greg took care of you. He's a great guy and I'm sure you'll love the bike! Too bad they wouldn't take the trade. They're mostly a boat dealer and I don't think they'd be able to push an Italian bike very well.
In unrelated news the bike had one incorrect front turn signal bulb ( single filament ) However I prefer the turn signals to be turn signals only and not running lights, so 5 minutes and a small piece of electrical tape later all done. Now both sets of turn signals are signals only, no more front running lights.
With respect why don't you like running light? For safety reasons, I've always felt that having more than one headlight burning identifies you as a bike instead of a one eyed car, mainly in poor light conditions.
