Lol, thanks. i just put the engine back together after finding a bad oil control ring scored the #4 cylinder. I rode it last week, and the ignition started failing. troubleshooting begins today/tomorrow, and possibly an upgrade to some fancy Dynatek stuff |

And you started with an L model. ![]() I agree that the tank badges should be chrome... Maybe. I might have an extra set of badges that you can have if I can find them and if it fits. |

I was gifted a donor bike, with a solid engine with only 16k miles. a swap of the cylinders and pistons later, and the jetting issues sorted themselves out. now the bike runs as well as can be expected, with CV carbs, and no airbox. a rack of flat slide carbs is on my wishlist from sudco, as well as the money to finish the 816cc, hi compression big bore kit i have in a box in my garage ![]() I still have to finish the exhaust (ceramic coating), and get a "real" paint job on it. i plan on keeping a semblance of the scheme on it now. |

The CV carbs like the airbox for bottom end. But the pods look cool, lol Up top, it pulls really nice. I plan on yanking them off and putting on a set of flat slides from Sudco Thank ya sir ![]() |
