How do you refresh a 10 yr old dirt bike?

So I'm fairly far along refreshing my 03 wr450.

I have had this bike for almost 10 years.. and ridden it a ton. Crashed it a ton. It's never really let me down. So time to show it some love.

Plus I want to race some supermoto..

On the list of upgrades:

New Bars
New levers
New grips
Refresh the bark busters
Re mount bark busters
Front suspension
Rear suspension
rebuild rims
Supermoto wheels
Bit brake kit for supermoto setup
New plastics
New headlight
New seat cover
New tank
New header

Powdercoat frame and swingarm
Refresh motor and valves
Case covers
linkage bearings

Wheel bearings, steering head bearings!! Very important on the street, more often than not you don't notice these on the trail.

If the big brake kit doesn't include new master cylinders or calipers, at least rebuild those too!

Took it up to walker to test out the dirt setup..

Needed a little further adjustment to the leavers and clutch pull.

The it ripped.. Jetting still seems good!

Got into a HEAD ON about 15 minutes into the ride.. with a kid on a yz250. bar to bar, headlight to number plate.. fender to fender.

Knocked helmets pretty good too.. both stayed up.. were ok, and kept riding.

This was right after I was looking to see if any of my new shit broke!!! lol.

Yep, steering head bearings are on the list.

Wheel bearings will be redone when I re-lace the dirt wheels and the supermoto wheels have their own set.

Definitely doing a bigger master and caliper setup.. Still waiting for my caliper relocation bracket from QTMI.

Linkage and swingarm bearings. If you don't have tools, bring them by and we can do it all on the press in about 30 min.

Might have to buy new bolts if they're really bad.
