Canyon run!
Anyone up for twisties and long straights. Dustin came up with this great idea to take this trip. Thanks Dustin. Anyways I was wondering if 21st or 22nd would be a good day. My bike will be rebuilt and needed to break-in.

Talking Canyon Run
OK Guys and Gals....

Pull out of Pullman heading toward Boyer Park, pass the turn off, keep going till hit the other Park at base of mountian which is on the snake... Take a stretchy, jump some cliffs, and off for a 30 -40 mile ride to Clarkston. Where you then hit the Spiral Highway, accending the incline and return back to Pullman.
OK OK so I have no idea the highways #s nor the park names, but it is a great ride along with some spectacular view.... A nice breeze on an occassion from the water.
Consist of open road, scenic byway and considerable twisties... Great for all levels and cruisers.
Can't Wait

I enjoy riding out to Boyer Park, except for when the sun is setting cause it blinds you going into those huge dropoff corners.

I hear the damn is back open again as well.

Wink About the Gas in Frame
OK Buelly Guys....

It might acually make since that the statement "gas in the frame" was used, The engineers of buell have devised liquids running throught the frame for center of grafity orientation, mostly oil I think is common, but many choopers are using this pheat to minimize looks.

Chalk one up for the Buell guys!!!!! Engenous!

Hey I just wanted to add my two cents to this post...

The ride is from pullman to wawaii (the rock) along 194 and then wawaii grade road. careful along the river cause in early to mid summer they go out there and re-oil/rock the road. I found this out the hard way last year, came around the turn (didn't heed the construction sign two miles back) at 120mph and BAM, theres two huge sections of the lane with fresh gravel ontop of the oil/tar stuff. luckily for me the two patches were seperated by the center line and a two foot wide stretch of "virgin" road and I puckered up and split the patches. So if you're down there, beware of the construction. Also, beware later in the day cause sheriff likes to cruise the rock (and they also may have the boat out and call ya in) on his way home.

As far as the damn is concerned...ITS TRUE! Didn't think i'd be in Pullman when they reopened the damn. For all those old-timers like me that means the dunes are open again. I hear though that you need ID to cross the damn (checked at either side at checkpoints) and DON'T SPEED! other than that, have a blast. The Almota grade (the road to boyer) is an awesome road with better pavement conditions than wawaii, but as beans mentioned they have huge drop offs and the sun can be bad.

Anyway, safe riding to all!

I'm told the damn is only open to cross on Saturday's - don't that's the case but was told that last week - best to check it out - should have gone that way - maybe I'd have avoided the big ticket we got on the canyon road down to the river -

on the sign at the gate, it says the dam is open Monday-Saturday 8am-5pm.. that means you've gotta get back across by 5 or you're taking the long way home.

Hey ladies and gentlemen. Ive heard all is well in reguards to this ride. The only conscerns in relation to hazards are a couple of pot holes tords the top of rattle snake grade other than that the roads are wide open. who says we need to run these roads like we are being chased by a tornado... I profess to go with the flow and all will be well. Also there will be a couple of Buells there S1, XB12s, and maybe two others its a matter of rounding them up...Good luck and we will see you all soon.

In high reguards. Buell Man.
