Idaho kids? Deer open in the morning
who wants to go?

haven't picked a spot yet, but I'm prolly headed out from my house around 5:30.
I'm thinking I'm gonna head to this spot out by Troy.

But, I have to be in Deary at 10....so, you'll need your own rig to get out there

I'll prolly be in camo, but I'm not freaky about scent.

I'm not in a hurry to tag out either...I've got 2 days off for deer hunting oct 22,23, so I'll just be out carrying my rifle, seeing what I can see

sorry kolat

countdown to shooting hours: 10 hours!

got my gear ready, rifle and sidearm clips loaded and ready to slap in and chamber one, knife sharpened, GPS battery fresh, flashlight for the morning, camo out, clothes to change into before work (camo in a game developer shop raises eyebrows...I raise enough being the redneck, motorcyclist that I am), and I've got some jerky that I'm gonna munch on for breakfast

I'm ready to roll...

I was tired before...I should have went to bed...

now I'm going to have to drink whiskey before bed to sleep.....

I'm so excited...

so excited....can't wait...I love hunting! WHOO HOO!

You work OUTSIDE Deary, ID! I'm surprised you aren't encouraged to drink Keystone Light on the job and throw the cans out the window.

Good luck...Kill a big Bambi!

If it makes you feel better I was planning on going up to my parents house and filling my tag in 10 min, but now I'm gonna go hunting with the girlfriends family and spend hours walking around when I could be back at home sleeping.

wouldn't be surprised if I cracked a cold one about 5pm on a night I had to stay late and my boss didn't bat an eye

you can borrow my SKS, no scope, and it shoots high and to the right, and the bullets tumble after 50 yards making where they hit anyone's guess.......

but they're big bullets and if you hit something it'll be deaded.

I have a sweet 223 with scope..drop-dead accurate out to 200+ yards. But, I wouldn't recommend anyone hunt deer with a 223 unless you can guarantee a headshot. I also have an SKS but Kolat already volunteered his. Mine is an early 50's Russian SKS so I don't want it to get abused in the woods. Jeff must have more rifles being the redneck he is.

mine is a sexy matching numbers sportster....with bayonette to poke in the deers eye to make sure he's dead........or hell you could stab the deer with it since technically you are using a gun to kill the deer......better yet, stab and shoot!

Come on up.... I wish..
I will be in Moscow in June for a few weeks.
Me and the kids are going dirt bike riding at laird park and check out the new trail.
Me and the wife will be looking at what part of town to move to.
We have to go downtown and oogle the farmers market and see where the weaving and quilting hot spots are. That will make the wife happy and that means no pajama night in our trailer when we get back to the cmap ground..

speaking of campgrounds near Moscow???
where should we plan on setting up our trailer for a week or so while we check out our new town ?

if you don't need electric hookups or anything, you can camp along the palouse river (I think it's that river)

anyway, once you find laird park, you just keep on the dirt road there, and there are camp sites all along

I live in a little town north of Moscow and Pullman (Palouse); there is a family of deer living in town. They bed down in the neighbor yards. I see them all the time. There is one young buck and three does. I have gone out to get in my car for work in the early AM and seen them standing 10 feet away. Trauma lives out here we should ask if he’s seen them. Palouse is less then a mile from Idaho as the crow flies.
