WoooooooooHoooooooo!
First ride of 2008!

The sun was out, it was a balmy 37 degrees, the roads are mostly clear of snow and ice, and Steven looked at me, I looked at him, and we both said..."We should hop on the bike..."

...so we did!

We only went over the mountain to Viola and back...then to Wally World, but it sure was fun, and I was toasty warm with a pair of sweats under the riding gear.

I almost went out today....

it was nice enough, but the mound of snow where I piled it up in front on the bikes prevented me.....

glad someone got out today!

I thought of doing the same thing. The amount of gravel deterred me though. I wish I had my beater going or a dual-sport for days like today.

Not afraid of the cold...I was riding to work when it was 17-19 in the morning. Maybe Moscow doesn't use the massive volume of gravel that p-town does (even my truck has a hard time going in the gravel...I feel like putting it in 4x4 sometimes with just the gravel). Plus, the huge amounts of liquid de-icer they use is very corrosive. That's why I wish I had a bike I didn't really care too much about. I won't be able to resist the urge too much longer though.

Koorbloh: You are bored and looking for hobbies....come and put my cb together. I even have a garage.

Cool...maybe that will give me some incentive to get my ass in gear. BTW, I mentioned the garage but I forgot to mention the kegerator.

I'm going skiing next Monday since we have the day off.

The bike needs most everything rubber replaced. It sat outside for several years in the tri-cities and everything rubber dry-rotted. The toughest thing is I have to redo the carbs.
