want to borrow
a dirt bike

just want to take a ride on one, get the feel for it.

never ridden one before and would like to try it

will replace any damaged items if something bad happens, but considering I just want to go ride it on a dirt road for a little bit to get a feel for the dirt

If I had the KATOOM here i'd let ya take for a spin... It would be ok for a first dirt bike until you found the power band hehe

And I've dumped it a few times so I'm pretty sure ya couldnt hurt it. Just fall on the left side, FMF doesnt make pipes anymore.

borrowing of a dirt bike is a completly differnet story of borrowing a street bike. To me anyways. Maybe if it was a brand new dirt bike I'd be more picky.

I'd so post up a "want to borrow busa" thread...except ken would let me, which would defeat the purpose!

If you found your way to Port Angeles, i would gladly let you ride my KaTooM. It's an EXC 450, so it's setup a little softer, the engine is very user friendly, and because it's a 6-speed, it chugs up just about anything in first gear (like a granny gear).

It'll only take you like 12 hours to get here, lol.

actually, what I want is something more modern....because if I buy a bike (thinking maybe DRZ400S or something along those lines) I want to be able to actually ride it instead of just fix it

want to see if I like dirt bike suspension

If you end up having to wait till fall you might as well wait till closer to christmas time and get a hell of a deal on some used bike. Christmas money man.... gets em every time.

ya, just trying to ride a bike here and bike there until I actually get a chance to buy, so I can know what I like (never ridden a dirt bike, always wanted to). can't bring myself to try to ride people's street bikes on the street, but dirt bikes are harder to hurt and you land on softer stuff

How about this? They seem to want to lend you a bike. They'll even teach you to ride it.

you'll have a wide selection of people who would let you ride their dirt bikes over there.

You could ride on the back of the Star for my haircut ride and we can stop by my house.
