Workout & ride?
Hey, guys
I wanna know what you think about weightlifting and riding your bike right after. The muscles are so tired after you lift weight, is it safe to ride your bike then?

I Ride: 2006 ZX-10R
I know what you mean. There have been times I've had a hard workout and the muscle failure that results makes your reflexes and instints below par for riding a motorcycle. But usually a little bit of rehydration and a good 10 minute rest (which happens when your warming down and stretching) usually make things fine enough to ride.

well ya know, the technical course layout of the city of pullman requires a great deal of muscular control to navigate it successfully from SRC to home!

But seriously, you should be fine. I tell you this as both a personal trainer and as a bike rider who has experienced the same dilema. besides, you'd be hard pressed to work your muscles to the point of where you can't shift your body weight successfully. and as you may have gathered from my sarcasm above, you probably aren't riding at a level to which you need to drag a knee and throw the bike around...unless your dodging pedestrians or cages! Just don't drop your bike, it'll be hell picking it back up
