I hate being yelled at...
so my "new" lead has gotten a big head over her "promotion".

She's spent the last two weeks changing things around to sute her needs. I pointed out a flaw in her judgment and got yelled at, a stayed calm and pointed out some facts and got yelled at...so finally I told her I didn't want to be yelled at any more and was going to go get breakfest...

we'll just see how the rest of my morning goes...I'll probably get "talked too" by my boss.

The best way to handle the person is do exactly what they say if they change something around that doesnt work it will become evident.

Simply said give her plenty of rope she WILL hang her silly self.

WTFO is right. If you sit back and let things flow they'll see their mistakes and won't hold it against you if you weren't seen as an "obstacle" in their eyes.

I usually try to carefully and very subtly point out a possible problem...not directly but more in the way of a story or example. I always try to leave them an excuse or a convenient exit strategy in case their course of action does not work. They usually appreciate not being called out in front of people and it does pay off down the road.

I often have chances to embarrass my superiors in public but it'll come back to bit ya in the butt

PS You never have to say "I told you so"...they already know it and appreciate you if you don't rub it in at all. Also, next time they tend to pay more attention to what you have to say.

Crap...I was going to do a witty reply with all CAPS (you know...internet yelling) but when previewed, all the caps had been removed. So, I got nothing.

I would prefer to see some hair pulling and biting and ripping off of shirts. This subtle crap is useless.

A cat looked at me like that the other day so I kicked him in the solar plexus.

FFF has given the best advice so far.

So I am at home now and figured that you would all like to know how the rest of my day went…
…my lead did complain to our boss about me so he put us ( )together and asked what happened. In the end he sides with me and said that the changes she made were okay BUT it would interfere with the stocking program and make it harder for him to do his ordering, so she had to put things back the way they were.

Then I got a forced apology and watched as he walked around looking at all the changes she has been making that he was unaware of. It was awesome

p.s. I am a vindictive bitch who holds grudges

I'd wait a while before you do the cat face to her.

best rule Do what you are asked and then bring it up in a non-complaining FYI to the boss. Like Hey, (insert leads name) had me do (insert stupid task) today and it's done.

That is when the fun begins. Kinda passive aggressive.

I am a red head/aggressive/stubborn person who dose not like being talked down to like I am a child, so her tactics only anger me.

I have worked for this company for 11 years, her 4 years. Just because she is older then me and was a head person at her old job doesn’t mean that she knows anything about our department. She continues to mass things up, and pissing off all the people under her. No one is doing all her changes which makes her mad. Also none of the new people want to work with her. I am the one looked too for help and support from the rest of my co-workers. I don’t want to be a “boss” but for the last 8 years I have had to act like one. She hates that I am respected by all and she is not. (You treat others like you want to be treated)

Seriously thou she is working herself out the door

I have been a manager for longer than I care to remember. Some people are leaders and some followers. Sounds to me like it or not you are a leader. Holding yourself back and getting pissed off only makes stress. You will find life and jobs are like motorcycles the air out front is always better.
