We're going to take the "back roads" down from Moscow and stay off the highway as much as possible. We'll see you all there- -Dan |

The ride back from oaksdale was wild pouring rain last night, then I went out. Woke up this morning and was simply too tired to do a spirited 80mile ride, just not worth it. |

I would have liked to have joined you in the fast group...but as it was, the scooter was *not* the slowest bike in the 3rd group. (That honor went to a Star, and one very timid rider). On the plus side, after the ride Kari and I went back to Mac's Cycles and checked out some of the BMW dual sports for her....leaning towards the new F650GS twin. Who should I talk to about getting a deal on a bike down there? Does Jim still work there? -Dan |

I'm also thinking that I could sell two of my bikes and get a F800GS to replace them both. I was really liking the one down there. I'm going to be in Eugene, OR in a little over a week, and their BMW dealer has demos of both the F650 and F800, so I plan to check them both out and see what I think. -Dan |

I've sat on that F650GS they have at macs. It's the factory lowered bike. If your wife is short that would be a great bike for her! Not cheap but she'd keep it forever and would be able to go cross country on it no problem (well, maybe with a new cushy seat) Check out www.f800riders.org for all the info you could ever want about them. | |
