| Pit Crew | ***WSBK SPOILER - Donnington Park*** Well, some great racing again. WSBK always delivers entertainment. I am extremely happy for Spies but really sorry for Haga. I hope he is not injured after that get-off. I couldn't believe how many crashes in both Race 2 and WSS. It was also nice to see so many Brits do well on there home course. With the points they way they are after this weekend it is going to get really good with Spies, Haga, and Fabrizio. |

Riding with a recently broken hip, and finishing top-10 on a bike he still has relatively little time on. Haga I think got tired of riding conservatively, and threw it away. It will be interesting to see how/if that changes his strategy for the remainder of the season. Spies really is that good - no doubt the best rider in the series now. The AMA talent sure didn't show up. Neither Hacker or Young could make it into the top-20 for race 1, and Hacker crashed out of race 2, which Young scoring a 16th (but would surely be outside the top-20 had everyone else not crashed out). |

The Japanese rider was airflifted to Derby hospital where a team of surgeons will carry out surgery on his back injury and also evaluate a possible broken wrist and shoulder blade. More information when we have it Last edited by 750Rider; 06-28-2009 at 04:06 PM.. |

Spies is young, he has plenty of time to get a world championship. Though I don't think he will factor once he goes to GP. |

| Pit Crew Joined: Dec 2007 From: Keizer, OR I Ride: in volition of FMVSS | Good news has emerged from the Derby Royal Infirmary regarding the condition of Ducati Xerox rider Noriyuki Haga. A further CT scan on the Japanese rider revealed that what were thought to be fractures of the T8 and T9 vertebrae could actually be the remains of a previous incident. This immediately brought a halt to the scheduled operation. "This is good news" declared team manager Davide Tardozzi, "but of course it needs to be confirmed tomorrow, Monday. Nori will for sure undergo an operation on the ulna bone of his right forearm, because it is a displaced fracture and there is also a suspected fracture of the scapula (shoulder blade) bone. It is clear however that if he really doesn't need to have an operation to the vertebrae he could get away with a month's rest". |

| Pit Crew | Thanks for the updates 750. Man I wish Haga the best. Just like Alister said...I wish Haga could win just one WSBK. Spies has lots of time to win this series. Boy did anyone notice that stupid ass move Biaggi did when he went down and decided to "merge" without looking and smacked into someone? What a tool. Great for him taking second in race 1 but damn dude! Be a little smarter. |

I may not like him much as an individual, but he is a world class rider and definitely the class of the WSBK field. I was very sad to see Nori crash out. I really want to see him finally take the championship that he so richly deserves. Glad to hear that the back is not as bad as they first thought and I look forward to seeing him back on the bike as soon as possible. Blake Young did a tremendous job on the Suzuki. He was battling with Kagayama, who has ridden the WSBK spec Suzuki for years on these tracks. |

He may not be out for the season, but this probably ends his championship hopes. Awesome to see Biaggi and the Aprilia doing so well in race one, but it almost ended in tears after Biaggi's "merging" incident. I hope Max & the Aprilia continue to be fast, someone's gotta keep Spies honest while Haga is out. |

Haga's stuggled last few races and no this crash, sure hope he heals and gives it a run... so many crashed in race 2![]() pretty amazed how behind the 09 gsxr is in bsb, wsbk, even Mladin's had setup issues with it. Max is due to return and hopefully get the bike up there WSS: McCoy give Triumph their first podium! ![]() he'll replace Colin in bike and position...Last edited by Tdawg; 06-29-2009 at 09:34 AM.. |

they joked about having Team Texas at Tech 3. That being said I expect that both parties will see that Spies stays in wsbk. For yamaha if they put him at tech 3 and he does well.....then what do they do? ya got rossi and lorenzo filling the 2 primary spots. | |

Haga may be able to battle for the championship after all? He seems to only have a broken arm, which they are plating and he has a month before the next race. It won't be easy, but he is one tough MFer. It seems that collarbone last year at Miller wasn't his first broken bone after all, since he seems to have broken a vertebra a while ago? And if you remember, he raced the next day at Milller with the broken collarbone. Ouch! |

| Pit Crew Joined: Mar 2008 From: Spokane, WA I Ride: 06 SV650 Street & 02 RC51 Track | For the shape he's in, Hopkins had a good result, it'll be interesting to see if he can start finishing in front of Haslam by the end of the season. If he can do that he should end up with a decent ride next year. As far as Tech3 goes, why would they consider keeping Toseland over Edwards? Edwards may not be the greatest rider, but Toseland and the M1/Bridgestone combination just hasn't gone anywhere yet. |

| Pit Crew | On Wind Tunnel Dave asked Colin a question about the level of support compared to the Fiat team from Yamaha. Said he wasn't sure, "93..94..95%..maybe...I'm not sure....Rossi's always trying the latest and greatest so it varies" |

Racers generally don't get penalized for dumb mistakes, even if it makes another rider crash. Did Pedrobot get penalized for torpedoing Nicky Hayden? Nope. They get penalized if they do things like overly aggressive passing (read: dangerous stuffing) etc. Biaggi fucked up, and he's lucky it didn't end in disaster. But he doesn't need to be penalized. |
