| Pit Crew | ![]() However, if Spies didn't have some of his troubles with the bike (ran out of fuel, mechanical) my guess is that he would have been a little farther ahead. Ben is an incredible rider. I don't care for him. But great for the US...we have a World Champ again. I truly hope he does well in GP. I have my doubts he will be dominant. I think he will truly have to show his talents there. When all said and done, I still think WSBK is a better series. Plus we never consider that they run 2 races in the same day! I would like to know some stats on how many miles the average MotoGP rider races in a year compared to WSBK???? |

My admittedly few interactions with Ben were in very low key situations, I was not part of a mob of fans (or even a group), I was not intruding, I did not impose, I was alone. He was less than gracious, in situations where being gracious would have cost him very little. Mabye he has grown up, I hope so... But I'm still a Haga fan. Haga 2010!!!! |

Haga will have another year to try while Spies is leaving, at least this way he goes as a champ. Not to say he will do great in GP, but maybe he will... I'm really interested in his wild card ride in last round of GP... |

SB is absolutely not GP, would like to see spies do well but i'd give him a few years before he's got anyone shaking in their boots... Last edited by DRS; 10-26-2009 at 04:45 PM.. |

I met him the Friday night before the races and BS'd about the AMA and Texas for a few minutes. He was like anyone else there that weekend, happy talkin' about bike with anyone who wanted to. I told him BMW could have used him, he laughed. The Iceman ain't so cold.... Hated or not, he is the best....watch your ass Mr. Rossi.... |

I hope by saying "how shitty we've become" you are talking about the goat rodeo of AMA/DMG and not the US citizens or our exceptional culture. I am a motorcycle racing fan. I respect many of the competitors. I want Haga to win. I will admit, I like seeing the American flag at the top of the reader board for WSBK results. Spies is undeniabley the best rider on the grid. However, I have been a Haga fan since before Ben reached puberty, or notoriety as a rider. If he can show long term determination, resolve and courage, then I will probably learn to be more of a fan. But for now I like Haga. Haga 2010. At the GP level, I have enjoyed the greatness of Rossi, and I like the Stoner Lorenzo competition to keep him doing his thing. I just wish the 990's were back without all the traction control crap! | |

No other rider to blame, he messed up, Ben won. I wanted Haga to win too, but oh well. Too bad they won't let rookies race factory bikes in their first year in GP any more... |
