Wow, wonder what the hell happened behind closed doors... Those crazy Italians... Wonder if there was a video with these guys and the boss' wife... These guys have been HUGE To Ducati results, both of them at WSBK and Suppo with the amazing Moto GP effort. http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2009/...05suppoout.htm http://www.superbikeplanet.com/2009/Nov/091105a.htm Wow... Not particularly good news for Ducatista. These guys have had amazing results. |

| Ducati Seattle ![]() Joined: Oct 2006 From: Seattle, WA I Ride: Ducati | Sounds like Tardozzi may go to BMW SBK (they sure could use him) and it is announced the Suppo is going to be marketing manager for HRC in MotoGP. The Guareschi brothers who will be middle managers for the Ducati team riders in MotoGP have been friends with Rossi for years.... I bet the changes will be just fine.... I hear they may pull in Bayliss to manage Ducati SBK team. |

Interesting... What prompted the change to BMW for Tardozzi? Is Rossi really looking to Duc? I know he and Suppo disagreed about the importance of bike to rider ratio... I bet Bayliss would be an amazing manager. All the years under Tardozzi tuetalege and his own skills. That would be a force for sure. | |

| Ducati Seattle ![]() Joined: Oct 2006 From: Seattle, WA I Ride: Ducati | BMW has two riders Tardozzi knows well and BMW needs help for sure if they are going to progress. Two great development riders with Corser and Xaus but now it would seem it is time to whip that squad into the top ten at least. Rossi to Ducati... think about it.. change in attitude in the GP team to a much more family atmosphere. maybe allow the bike to be built for Rossi as he likes. Rossi could then potentially win a world championship for 4 different manufacturers! And remember if you do Rossi wrong on the team he will walk.. as shown in the past. He helped develop the M1 into a winning machine and then they gave the same bike and info to Lorenzo and the Tech3 team... And I do also agree that Bayliss would be a perfect fit for the WSBK team.. he has been hanging out with them most of this year. ![]()

Rossi can do it. 2004, South Africa, he won on the turd M1 in his first race. Then took the championship. The M1 was junk. The RC211V was vastly superior. He is the best chassis, engine tuning set up racer on the grid, look at the M1 now. The question is can he do it without Burgess.... It seems unlikely that Burgess would change teams again, he has got to be getting ready to hang it up. If Rossi could win races on the Duc, I think the challenge of the change would once more enshrine him and add another brick to the GOAT memorial that is already built with his name on it. I hope he does change.... But its obvious that Yamaha treats their great champions very, very well in retirement. Travel, money, respect. Even guys like Steve Baker still get to travel and bask in the yamaha glow years after his accomplishments... He would risk losing that long term commitment. Ducati takes care of a special few, like Foggy, and Bayliss. But not like Yamaha. |

| Forum Cripple | Wonder if not holding Fabrizio back from passing Haga had anything to do with Tardozzi's departure. Also wonder, if Rossi replaces Stoner, whether Rossi's development work will help Hayden. |

| Forum Cripple | Is now or was then? Seems kind of weird for a team manager to be also one of the riders' manager. Seems also kind of weird for a team manager to step down and manage only the rider. |
