| Two Wheel Art ![]() | Has the AMA blown it's big chance? "again" I just finished reading an interview with MJ in Road Racer X. Not a single one of my non motorcycle friends had any idea Jordon owns an AMA race team. The AMA has been screwing up things for years but in the article it seemed if the rules did not change he may end up walking away from this hobby. I wonder if the AMA fully realizes what it means to have perhaps one of the most recognizable names in the world owing a race team in their series? In the article he talked about the frustration with not being able to be competetive with the factory teams. How hard it is to get the parts. It makes me wonder what kind of impact this has on other privateers in the AMA? If a guy worth more than 10 billion dollars cannot field a top private team what kind of chance does anyone else have? I guess it's not all doom and gloom. Looks like some of their silly classes are going to be going by the wayside soon. Anyway just thought it was interesting to hear what his thoughts on the state of the AMA. |

| Two Wheel Art ![]() | No one commented in the interview about the gayness of the teams paint jobs from last season. I believe that is the main reason Pridmore retired after last season. His bikes this year are ,IMO the best looking in the field. |

And i also agree if he cant put a privateer team on the podium, no one can. He has tried time and time again to get rules passed on parts. There shouldnt be a closed door transation bringing in a newer motor for Mladin and not for Yates. Almost how you have hayden and pedrosa on new exhaust, and melandri is still on exhaust from the second round of the series. Even though both riders praise the new HRC exhaust and its benefits. It just doesnt make sense. Its like URL and NASCAR. Make it all fair, all even, same parts, same availability, same tires, and fucking RACE. |

Supposedly they are changing some rules, and reshuffling the retarded classes. We shall have to wait and see if it's all talk, or if they do it, they do it right. If the AMA can't see how lame their racing is right now, and the value of having someone like Jordan in their series, they are truly retarded, and the entire pro racing arm of the AMA needs to be fired and replaced with people that actually have functioning brains. |

More needs to happen now to improve the AMA racing and competiveness of the privateers. I'll go on a limb and say the AMA has an opportunity to drastically improve marketshare while MotoGP will be trying find themselves next year. IMHO |
