Single tire rule in GP
It's not going to happen in 08 but it probably will in 09 if the racing does not start getting better or Rossi wins.
It's turned out to be a big success in WSBK so do you think they should do it?

MotoGP is about racing bikes with the best technology that can be created. A single-tire rule kills that. There are other ways to fix the problem.

I wish Rossi were young again so he could compete with Stoner.

I see your still holding on to that fantasy.
I've heard rumors of a senior class at the world level maybe in 09. Rossi might do well in there. Guys I've heard are going to be in it. Nixon, Springsteen, Mammola,Roberts Sr. Lewis and Clark.

Right because if they all have the same tires, they stop developing the bikes, too.

If you have another way to fix the problem, please share as noone else seems to have figured one out.

Tires should NOT decided races. Bikes and riders should. Spec rule FTMFW.

Give Rossi a package that's even close to Stoner's and you'll see a different story. Fuckin noobs.

No, I like to hear all the whining about why "I lost because of the tires".

Gee, he's 28... that's so ancient.

How old was Mick Doohan when he was still stomping everyone's butt? Eddie Lawson? All those guys were winning championships in the 30s, which Rossi is still 2 years from 30.

You guys are smoking some serious crack if you think Rossi (or anyone else for that matter) is "over the hill" in roadracing at 28.

I honestly can't believe the amount of disrespect and hatred on this site of the man who is widely regarded as the greatest racer of all time. Unless of course you're a Ducati fan, which apparently the rabid brand loyalty blinds you to reality.

come on Pete lighten up man.
I do recall Kenny Roberts Sr. saying that one day you wake up and it's just not there anymore. He said it's usually right around 10 years into your professional career.

I used to wonder what it felt like to be Christopher Columbus arguing with people that the world was round and not flat. Now I know.

Oh hell yeah! I'd love to see an IROC type race with spec bikes. That would pretty much take equipment out of the equation and make it all about the rider. Would be very interesting indeed.

The best tires in the world aren't going to make the Yamaha faster than the Ducati.

Very good rider + best bike > best rider + mediocre bike.
