I'm not sure, but even though Rossi does not ride a twin... I feel like this thread could turn into some criticism of his ability.

lol. . . .let the e-whipping begin.

Seriously, I hope some teams saw this coming . . . . soon enough to get the twins on the track. Ducati, Buell, Aprilia, maybe KTM in the AMA this year? It might still be the Suzuki Show up front, but it would be a great thing nonetheless.

I don't see any manufacturer running an effort in the US this year other than Ducati. It will be interesting to see if Ferracci or Vance and Hines takes up with Ducati again.

Just read that the AMA will allow the use of homologated race pistons but have bumped the minnimum weight limit up 15 lbs heavier than that of the four cylinder bikes.

Ferracci is already involved with mv agusta

but i wouldn't be surprised to see a factory ducati in ama superbike in 09, a little too late for a serious effort for this year.

5 or 6 years ago Rossi probably could have ridden a twin to victory someplace but the way his skills have eroded with his age there is just no way.
I had to get that shot in.

Yeah I know, my point was that someone would find a way to get Rossi in here, so I thought I'd just get it started early.

The only person that could beat Rossi on a twin is Chuck Norris.
