Just found out he's going to be competing in the World Endurance Championship. 6 races. Good to see him back in racing. I always felt he was just a decent ride away from being one of the premier riders in this country.

Yeah but it probably didn't help that him or the riders he supplied bikes/engines to kept getting busted with illegal mods when protested.... I know "they all do it" but for some reason, he sure got caught at it a whole lot more than any one else that comes to mind.

When did he supply anyone with bikes and engines? I know of the team he was on getting an 8000 dollar fine. Actually Lance Holst and another principal. Explain?

My memory is fuzzy since it's been about eight to ten years.. maybe it was just him and his teammate....pretty sure after he dropped out of the spotlight racing, his shop did engine work for a lot of higher up privateers...either way, I recall reading about at least three times he was fined/punished in roadracing world for illegal engines. I can't recall now if he was banned for the final part of the season at one point or just from a couple of events.

I can't find anything out about that? If you come across that again let me know about it, I'd like to read more about it. I know him fairly well but not well enough to ask him about that I don't think. Anyway he said he's going to be racing for phaze one Yamaha and may do some rounds in the AMA. He has a contract with Suzuki still but they are letting him race the Yamaha in Europe.

We are talking "Jason Pridmore" right? not sure if he has brothers or other relatives...

Best I could do is google something at this point... trashed all my Roadracing World stockpile a few years ago... if the "Race" email list is archived out there somewhere there should be a lot of discussion on it... several of the regulars that used to be on that list were AMA paddock workers, AMA racers, etc. who were fairly in the know.
