Lorenzo highsided hard in the first practice of the day, injuring both ankles. He's been transported to the hospital for further tests.

He will not be riding in the afternoon practice.

Ok now Eurosport is saying small fracture in right foot.

They did show him on camera after he returned from the hospital and he had ice on the right ankle.

TC doesn't mean you can whack the throttle open wherever you like.

I watched that a few times and started to think the motor siezed or something. It throws him at the entry to the turn, when he would be trail braking. The wheel was still turning, but slowly. Maybe TC and ABS are supposed to work in conjunction.

Well they strapped him to the bike and sent him out!

Currently qualifying 9th but there are still 50 minutes left.

EDIT: Oh god he just saved a high side..... it must have pounded the crap out of him. It was huge.
