Nice to see that it wasn't a Baylis love-fest either (too bad his bike died in the 2nd race, but from the first race outcome it would have been tough for him to win the 2nd one) wtf happened to biaggi? he seems to have lost his pace since his early wrecks |

THAT is the model they should be shooting for, not trying to emulate NASCAR. Super close racing, there was a 10+ bike train for the lead for at least the first dozen laps, and a total brawl between the top 3-4 riders (and in the last race, 3 different manufacturers) right down to the checkered flag. It simply doesn't get any better than that. Why can't AMA Superbike be like WSBK? It easily could. Spec tires, a few rule changes and there's no reason it couldn't it be. Yet instead of emulating the WSBK model, they choose to emulate something that is completely different, with a completely different fan demographic: oval track racing. ![]() |

There were 2 different brands in the top 3 that finished within a fraction of a second of each other. Contrast that with the prior rounds where Bayliss just ran away with it, still leaving the multi-brand pack battling it out for a distant 2nd. Almost makes one wonder if Ducati was sandbagging a little this round so they don't get another weight penalty. Bayliss does have a nice points lead, you know. It always seems Ducati is either dominating, or the rules get changed quickly so they can dominate again. I have yet to see a formula that truly makes the twins and inlines equally competitive, and for the last decade or so, the rules have almost always favored Ducati. How is that fair? Why are the rules constantly changed to give an outdated design an advantage so one company can dominate and all the rest get to suck it? The factories all pulled out of WSBK cuz they knew they couldn't win against a stacked deck. The series shoots itself in the foot to suck the dick of one company. But seeing as the Ducati-loving Flaming brothers own the series, there's plenty of dick sucking to go around. |

I doubt Ducati was sandbagging, it was Monza. And when Bayliss tried to break the pack in the 2nd race he could'nt do it, they reeled him back in. That and no one else is running the duc up front save for Bayliss. Thought Biaggi would but he's having issues. Appeared to be Suzi's track to me, except Haga pulled it out with some incredible riding. Who knows. I think Ducati has a slight overall edge right now(well the honda might actually be better). The parity is pretty even, Bayliss is the only rider who has maintained consistency however. Ya can't blame someone else for others failures...................JOhn |
