Any season in which Rossi won the championship... and there's been plenty.

Yes but 90% of you Rossi bois only started following GP racing when it became motogp. Most of the bois have no sense of history.

You have got to be kidding me? The number two Honda rider on a Pedrosa development bike goes into the final race of the season with an 8 point deficit on who at the time was often referred to as the G.O.A.T and comes out winning.
Yes his 06 season was truly one of the greats.

I would be forced to say the Rossi season in which he switched from Honda to Yamaha, won the very first race and the Championship, after winning the last race of the prior season. What was that, '95?

By the way, Rossi will be the GOAT with just one more win.

What is the percentage of wins vs. starts for Hayden, anyway? Rossi has to be near 40%.

We all know his age has become an issue the last few seasons but I think he was about 12 in 1995?

Yes which makes his championship in 06 even more miraculous.

Speaking of Championships, Rossi has won 64% of the titles since he started racing against the world. That number will jump to 67% in a little while. Can you imagine how much money a baseball player would get if he batted 670?

That just proves that the points system is flawed. Even Nascar has a better system.

Which sounds amazing but really is not when one considers the lack of talent he has raced against his entire career until 06 when some other talent showed up. Since the talent arrived he is batting zero. Looks like that is about to change and he'll be on par with Hayden and Stoner.

This is fun. Doohan had not talent to race against from '93 until he retired. Rossi has had others to race against, just not at his exceedingly great level.

Thats exactly why you don't see Doohan or That Italian in the poll. Really Freddie doing the double is something that will never happen again.

The 80's and early 90's aren't called the golden age of grand prix for nothing.

My favorite of course is the Rainey-Schwantz wars. This to me is one of the absolute best races in history. 1989 Suzuka GP.

Too many youtube vids to link to all of them. Just do a search for Rainey, Mamola, Schwants, Doohan, Fast Freddie,

The double is the one that I voted for, since it was the only real accomplishment on the poll. That and he has a great name.

You are right about Rainey and Schwantz. Those were some great battles and they really did not like each other. Schwantz told me it all started because he was dating Raineys sister.
