(in all seriousness) I'm barely 5'3" and I weigh 120lbs.... any advice? I dont know what all I need... I've got the bike.. I've got some gear but i'm very sure it's not race appropriate gear. Any advice where a girl should go to buy a nice racing outfit (mind you I have very short legs) Any advice would be appreciated!! You can PM me or write me here... thanx so much guys!! (and gals) |

Try on smaller sizes of A* track pants (the ones w/ the pucks). Off the self stuff is fine for startin' out even if it doesn't fit perfect. Wait to get something custom-fit until after you're hooked on trackdays. (censored on purpose, muahaha)if only weight were the only factor that determined your success. i don't think any of us will be racing ama in the next year or ever, so i'm more inclined to deal with what i have and improve my skill my power to weight ratio is not the limiting factor in this equation right now n_n"weight aside, being in shape will be of huge advantage to folk on the track. the physical strain of being out there is immense, and just like your bike needs to be set up and maintained properly to make it all those heats, so does your body! i don't know anything though, i'm just a pudgy lil' gal ![]() |

| Pit Crew Joined: Oct 2006 From: Seattle I Ride: awesomely fast onez | same stats bro. i hear yer difficulties... if you check out all the factory sponsored riders by yamaha or suzuki, they seem to be no bigger than like 5'8" and 160 lbs from what i think I can remember.... it makes yah think: what's the point of carbon fiber parts to save weight when you--the rider--ways 50 lbs more than the rest of the guys you're racing against. anyways, i'm just goona increase my cc-size to make up for my slowness ![]() |
