On my third set of Q2's and love them! Mark... I'm averaging about 2200 miles per set on my bike.

I just replaced a set of Q2's. Good tires, but I only got a hair over 4k out of the rear. This is what I had on my bike when I dumped at The Ridge, but that was completely my fault for not warming them up. I replaced the Q2's with the new BT-016 PRO's because I got much better mileage out of the last set I had. Something like 7.5k miles. YMMV.

You obviously don't ride on Eastern Oregon chip seal roads....

I liked the BT016's too.. I'd rate them just about as high as the Q2's. Haven't tried the Pro's yet.

SV1000...got about 3K out of them. Lots of bottom end on those beasts.

Got about 600 miles on a set of Q2's on my ACE.....friggan amazing grip! Haven't had a slip yet. Was really trying to wear them out this fall but I just got a new bike (TL1000s '97 RED) so the ACE isn't getting any miles any more.

My buddy put a set of PP 2CT's on his '06 CBR1000RR the same time that I got the Q2's....we swap bikes often while riding and to be honest I don't care for the feel of the 2CT's. Another thing I noticed is that the Q2's scuff and ball the rubber on the shoulders more than the 2CT's do.

My TL has PP 2CT's on it and I have had more than a couple butt pucker moments with them (although I am still working on getting my suspension dialed in for me)

The TL is getting new rubber this winter and most likely it will get Q2's...but I am thinking about Power Pures though.

Lol.. No, no I don't. The PRO's are new, they're supposed to be better with wet road. I can't confirm that..

BT016's are crap! if the Q2's are on that level i'll have some terrible things to say after Fossil tommorow.... so i hope that's just a rideing perspective..... we'll see, i'll put up tommorow the pro's and cons afterwards i guess.... thanks for all the suggestions gent's!

I would think any performance tire that gets more than 1800 miles is doing pretty good. If a guy gets over 2500, he either is slow or not trusting them enough to go fast. That is why I suspect PP and the newer Michelins get lots of mileage.

If you think the BT016's suck, I can only surmise you are talking about OE tires.. Keep in mind the 016's that come on a new bike are NOT the same as those bought off the shelf.
I ran my 016's pretty hard and have nothing bad to say about them at all. They stick well, slide predictably and wear about as good as any other tire I've tried. Keep in mind, I'm on my 8th (or is it 9th?) set of tires in just over 19000 miles.

The 016's are better than PP's or std Qualifiers for certain. I feel they are damn near as good as the Q2's. But hey.... That's me. I'm a fat guy on a fat bike..😄

no i bought a set from Cycle gear (if i remember correctly, was ~3 years ago)they're ok on the street, slick as shit in the rain, and dangours and unpredictable on the track, they are the worst tire i have ever ran! locked up the front under braking, slid without being at full lean, it was scarry, and my AMA buddy agree's and is an equal hater of the BT016, but they are cheap, so sometimes they'll make due if you're in a tight spot. i've heard other bridgestone rubber is ok, but like i said, i hold a grudge and it'll be awhile still before i try a different Bridgestone tire.

Pretty sure the 16's are going away. It's being replaced by the S20. Put a set on mine and they seem to be doing good. The price is comparable.

The first time I rode my Q2's, I crashed.

Not the tires fault, of course...

That is a bummer.. Battery tender FTW!

When you get it going, I'm confident you'll like the tires.

Holy thread revival batman!

BT016 are GARBAGE, in ALL FORMS!! if the tyre's from the factory are even worse i couldn't even imagine that....

i'm not an A group rider, middle of B group is my best pace (give or take depending on the B group we're talking about). Have you ever LOCKED a front tire under hard braking? I DID on the craptastic BT016! how about hydroplane on the highway at roughly the speed limit? I DID on the BT016!

BT016 are such sketch crap that 2 of my racing buddies threw them away / GAVE (for free) to others that wanted to try them out, after ~300 or so miles!

BT016's are CRAP! don't waste your money or jeopardize your life with the worst tire i've EVER been on.

BT016 = FAIL!

on a positive note, the Dunlop Q2's are doing very well, i'm still a little nervous because i'm not used to their feed back (stiff carcass i think?) but they have zero slides or spin ups on my last trackday, turn in's are ROCK SOLID, love that aspect of them!. i just need to learn to trust them!

I loved q2s on my old gixxer 750.
I only have 1600 miles on my cbr so I'm still learning the liter bike power and haven't replaced the stockers yet. I will soon but I'm kinda wondering if I should wait till mid summer and the q3s.
Watchoo guys think?

I'm on 2nd / 3rd set of BT-016s and have nothing but good things to say about them... from klick to carson to PIR. (500lb bike, 172whp)

I haven't ridden Q2's but friends who are faster than I (omra/wmra) have spoken highly of them.

I'd gladly give Q2s a try if I can get both 16s to wear out together...
