What emergency supplies do you carry?

What do you carry in the lines of emergency supplies when you go for a ride, and why?

Many of us have been caught without the necessary 'tools of the road' and it leads to a tale of woes, and many of us have had something go wrong and we just jump off the bike, pull out the right tools and were back on our way in a snap.

But what is considered necessary, and what is considered over-kill when it comes to what we carry.

Some of the stuff I generally carry all the time:
Patch kit
Basic tools (came with the bike)
Simple pack of bandaids
Aspirin, Tylenol, Tums, maalox pills and Benadryl
Flashlight
Tire gauge
Half roll of TP

Now the question is out there. The only reason I started carrying this stuff is out of experience, but when is it considered going too far, or not far enough?

Cell phone, tire plugger, bicycle tire pump, bottled water, extra clothing, flashlight, cash, credit cards. paper towels, hand cleaner, rubber gloves. m/c jumper cables.
