5 day ride ideas
A buddy of mine from upstate NY wants to ship his Ducati 750SS out here next year and go for a 5 day ride. About 90% of the miles on his Duck are form doing rides like this, he ships his bike out somewhere and goes for a long ride. He's riden about everywhere in the U.S. besides the NW and Northern CA.

I need to set-up The epic NW ride! Neither one of mind a little bit of weather. I'd like a good mix of sight-seeing and fun roads with no traffic. Most importantly I'd like to stay away from the masses.

If you were in my shoes, what would you do?

Eastern BC. Head up across the North Cascades to Idaho, then into BC. The Kootenays have some of the most popular motorcycle roads in Canada and are breathtakingly beautiful. There are several motorcycle campgrounds, hotsprings, well maintained roads, and not much traffic. And it feels like a real trip abroad because you get to use your passport! I got a taste of it this year and really think it is one of the least appreciated opportunities we have in the NW.

North Cascades, Idaho, Canada. 1100 miles. 3 days.

I'd say no riding trip in the PNW would be complete without at least including a stop up at Crater Lake, and a look at the giant redwoods in Nor Cal. Especially if the person is comming all the way from the east coast where they have never seen a real tree. lol
