I Ride: 2009 Suzuki Gladius
Hockinson (Vancouver, WA) to Larch Camp
This is a short 10.5 mile ride (1-way) which includes some great twisties and nice scenery. I started from NE 182nd Ave and NE 139th St in Vancouver (just South of Hockinson town center). The first couple of miles are straight but as soon as you go slight left it start getting good. The best parts for me was the forest road which winds through the hills. At a couple of points, the trees open up and you get a great view (from about 3200ft) of Camas and all the down into the areas East of Portland. The road condition was good. It was a little lumpy in parts near the beginning, but all the lumps were in straight-aways. There was a little gravel from some side roads, but again very little and none in corners. I could have done this run over and over all day.

Here is the ride map: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=NE39th+St&daddr=45.711 678,-122.336969+to:Yacolt+Burn+State+Forest+Rd&geocode= FUatuQIdKACz-A%3B%3BFWDPuQIdNj-1-A&hl=en&mra=dpe&mrcr=0&mrsp=1&sz=17&via=1&sll=45.7 12622,-122.339941&sspn=0.005896,0.009645&ie=UTF8&ll=45.72 3199,-122.416191&spn=0.18863,0.308647&t=h&z=12

That sounds great, I'll ride it as soon as possible, maybe next weekend.

The Gladius, like it?

Dual sport?

That's a decent run, might do that tomorrow. I've yet to talk with anyone that owned a Gladius, I've seen them in the show room but that's it. It's not a duel sport, it's the new version of the naked SV 650. What do you think of it?

I have a work mate who keeps talking it up. Honestly my search has been nil and going to a shop hasn't been in the cards.

I believe Suz's are great machines. This could be another hit, simply because of it's namesake.

I will try to look into it, in the near future.

Thanks

Once you get a little past half way along on the highlighted route, there is normally a fair amount of gravel in the corners. It gets worst the higher you go. Be carefull!

Joey, do you like movies about gladiators?
