Bike is still down w/ a flat (new tire due in this week) so we took the only other car worthy of a sunny day down there. First impression: Not enough seating. They're betting on extended forecasts of warm weather, as their patio seating is probably 60% of what their internal seating is. You walk in and there's a counter for ordering your food right at the door. The expectation is that you order, you sit, and then they bring it out to you. Fair enough. Unless there's no seating. Then you stand around waiting in a too-small lobby area until a table opens up. Kind of like Red Robin, except less space. Ordering: Relatively quick and painless. Not a lot of stock in non-fountain drinks. Wife wanted a Jones soda and they were out. They were out of pretty much everything, actually. Sit-down: Generally the same as anything else. We got stuck at a bar table, but there wasn't a lot of elbow room. We were right next to the bar (which really was a bar with a couple of Icy Hot Stuntaz boys drinking their crystal clear Miller Lights. Pussies.) Food came out relatively quick. A la Fatburger you have your card in a little metal holder so they can see where it goes. The portions are probably the *right* size for eating without gorging. Had the "Blazing Onion" burger with the carmelized onions and the regular fries. Wife had some funky burger with shit on it I've never seen. Food was solid, though. No complaints. I wouldn't bust down a door to go there again, but if you're looking for a Mill Creek rally spot, I could think of a lot worse. The Subie guys take up Burgermasater down the road - this is a good alternative. The owner was frantically making the rounds. Got the feeling this is their first venture into any business - surprised they picked food. A little bit of chaos, but expected. And again, there's a great little bakery right next door. So a nice sunny day on the patio wouldn't be bad. http://www.blazingonion.com if you want to check it out yourselves. |

It's nothing like it used to be. Burgers are still pretty decent. That was one of my first jobs when I lived it Bellingham. |

It is a small frozen yogurt place with a couple of mean burgers on the menu. *drool* mmm toasted buttery bun goodness... I recommend the bacon cheese burger with swiss and tell them to add bbq sauce. ... I need a cold shower just thinking of it. |

Not to mention some bad ass riding around on the San Juans via Ferry to boot. thats my vote - easily. |

I also agree that Red Robin does burgers real good. However, the best burger I have had anywhere is at the Cheesecake Factory, downtown Seattle. It is simply The Classic Burger. Very, Very, Very substantial chopped beef burger. I can eat a lot but this one barely fits when I am famished. Best tasting, best texture, etc. Highly recommend it, but ONLY if you are very hungry, or you'll be taking home leftovers. ![]() |
