He lives in Grand junction and road it on his HD to Tombstone for a Harley get together. He said the road is beautifully paved too. So yea, it just looks/sounds sweet. |

It is good pavement and once up and out of the canyon the road opens up a bit. Goes from 15 mph corners to 25 mph corners once up on the ridges. The tight twisty stuff for a few miles out of Clifton usually have gravel and sand on the corners but does not dampen the fun much. It is a hoot to ride and I would definately take a buddy along in case of an inadvertant get off. This ride is my main motivation to get down to AZ for a ride every spring when the weather is crappy up here. All in all, a great ride. |

I've been through there in early to mid April and its okay. I'd do a search on the weather stats for that area first becuase in Dec your approach to it will likely be from Globe, Tucson, etc. as the rim will have snow/crappy weather. |
