Anybody been on this road?
I know it's a bit far from WA, but curious if anybody has been on this road. I've heard it's a pretty fun road.

Arizona!! Looks fabulous, but very isolated south of 180. Definitely do it with a buddy, and make sure your tank is full when you head out. Looks like it would be a blast, though.

It was my brother that told me about this road. He lives in Grand junction and road it on his HD to Tombstone for a Harley get together. He said the road is beautifully paved too. So yea, it just looks/sounds sweet.

It is a good one. I've been on that one at least a dozen times when I lived down there.

Don't be taking Brad on Dec road trips, it's hard enough to get him away for a week in the summer...

Dec Road Trip = Mrs Brad putting her foot down for the summer road trip

Been on it a few times. It is fun though every once in a while you find a tourist cutting a blind corner. It is good pavement and once up and out of the canyon the road opens up a bit. Goes from 15 mph corners to 25 mph corners once up on the ridges. The tight twisty stuff for a few miles out of Clifton usually have gravel and sand on the corners but does not dampen the fun much. It is a hoot to ride and I would definately take a buddy along in case of an inadvertant get off. This ride is my main motivation to get down to AZ for a ride every spring when the weather is crappy up here. All in all, a great ride.

I doubt you would get to ride much of it in Dec as it tops out at 9000' around Hannigan Meadows. I've been through there in early to mid April and its okay. I'd do a search on the weather stats for that area first becuase in Dec your approach to it will likely be from Globe, Tucson, etc. as the rim will have snow/crappy weather.

Agreed. Been on that road many times and it is well worth riding, but the likelihood of much of it being snowy or icy in December is very high. For those who can get there in the warmer months; you will be pleased.
