With regards to the picture quality,(which I think is great considering the glare of the sun that was happening),and the resulting derogatory comments, there is only one thing to say--"Operator Error"...

The camera's fine...

I'm home sick and not riding anywhere. Have an ear infection which of course means fuzzy headed and no balance. Hope to see everyone on the 30th. Oh, wish me luck, I have a chance to win a new car tomorrow in Eugene thanks to KZEL. Knowing my luck, a very slim chance. Wish I could have been there last night.

Thanks Cascade, I guess thats one of the reasons I'm going back to school. I sure am glad I dont have to worry about all that punctuation stuff when I"m speaking. I've never been able to remember when/where to use them but then again I've never really understood why it bugs people so much on these social networking types of sites.

I would guess it's because, without punctuation, the posting is difficult to read and understand. When you write with punctuation, you do the work to help the reader understand your point. When you write without punctuation, it might be easier for you, but it's much more difficult for the reader to follow and understand your message.

With punctuation: You do the work = Reading is easy = Message understood.
Without punctuation: Easy for writer = Difficult for reader = Message misunderstood.

Not being mean, Reese! I was just playing with you, but it is hard to read a post with NO punctuation. And for some types, like me, it actually raises my heart rate when I'm reading something like that because-- as stated by a109driver-- when you read something, you're expecting it to "sound" as if you are listening to the author "say" it. Imagine having a conversation with someone where they are literally speaking in a run-on fashion. LOL. It would wear you out.

Anyway, seriously, don't feel bad. All is well. Just want to make sure what you have to say is well-received. And for anal types like me, it helps if it's as readable as possible.

I felt quite bad for having to pull out as you were pulling up! Knowing it's a challenge for you to get off work in time to make it to Bike Night, I was like "damn it! Resse just got here and we're all leaving!" But it was damn hot, and I had my neighbor watching my other kids while I picked up my 10-year-old from her grandmother's house.

Additionally, LOL, she was wearing flip-flops. Basically, I almost didn't even go to bike night because I didn't want to look like Loser Father of the Year hauling my child on my motorcycle without proper footwear.

But I digress.

EDIT:

You obviously don't need to go to school to learn how to punctuate-- you did a fine job there. To be honest, folks could get away without capitalization and spelling (though that hurts!) and even most punctuation. But the PERIOD. That's the culprit. Periods rule.

I'm not taking it personal really its been one of those things that I have always had trouble with, even back in school. I can spell almost anything and my spoken word is excellent (I'm a salesman it better be) last time I tried to go back to college I kicked my own ass because I did so well on the placement test that they put me in classes I really wasnt ready for. So this time I still did very well on the placement test so I asked that I be in an english class thats way below the level I placed because I really do need help in the writing field.... And the whole guilt trip thing I played I learned from my mom(my wife hates it) I was just poking fun too.

Well, that was interesting. I got there around 6:30 and there were a grand total of THREE people. Woo hoo, party time!

There was a certain someone who rode by and gave a honk of the horn, but apparently other things were more important than stopping to chat with friends, so we never got a chance to say hi. I won't mention any names, 'cause Jennifer might kick my ass if I did.

But I did have my camera with me, so here are the riders and their rides...

Yeah, and though she didn't pop a wheelie, she was still standing up off the seat and waving or at least honking. Hmmm, funny horn on that thing. Sounded like someone stepped on a guinea pig or something.

Hmmm, four people, three bikes and a bright red cage. How pathetic! We are so lame. Not only that but Reese wanted someone to go ride with him and had no takers. Lame, lame, and more lame.

At least I showed, even if it was in the cage...

Yeah, sometimes I snooze too much.

Okay, if you guys want to see 'em (the pictures came out a little fuzzy because I didn't change the settings for the overcast/funky lighting)...

I think I'm missing one. I can't find a pic of Kirk's Sabre in my pictures. I must have missed it when I was walking around the bikes taking pictures. Sorry 'bout that. It's a darn pretty Sabre, too.

Well, today's bike night was a rip-roaring success! At last count there were eighteen people on fourteen
bikes. Lots of fun with so many riders there. We all pigged out on jalapenó burgers and coke, then had a
big pow-wow to discuss future possible locations for bike night. There were so many great ideas with
everybody throwing in their suggestions and...

I'm lying. It was a ghost town. Again.

Oh, yeah... there was one guy who got confused and thought it was 'truck night'...

And I don't know what the hell this guy was thinking...

On the upside, we had some free entertainment provided by the local mentally-ill drifter who was afraid of
being bitten by 'truck guy'. He was a real barrel o' monkeys.
