I didn't wake up until 6 today! What a shitty week. Sorry I missed it. I say the tri-color duc guy riding by when I was at Taco del Mar.

I seriously have no idea what day it is. I have been working 10pm-noon the next day, sleeping for a few hours, then doing it again. I will be there next week.

I might make it down there next week. If the weather cooperates, I'll be riding down there on my R1 either late Wednesday or early Thursday.

You had me going there for a minute; 14 bikes and 18 people. Wouldn't that be nice! I'm hoping to stop by the Tues night coffee meet in Beaverton on my way down there. They get 50-60 bikes per week. See the thread with lots of pics; http://pnwriders.com/portland-region...ht-coffee.html

I couldn't even make it with the car. Hubby was bringing his logtruck back south after doing a job near Eugene, only the next job is in Rice Valley. So, I got the call to come get him at 6. Otherwise, Staci and I were planning on swinging by till we got the phone call. Hopefully next week with the bike.

Well, it looks like one of those truck guys got it half right. And having a PNWriders sticker in your window doesn't count as half right. What's with those cans in the back of the red truck? Extra fuel?

Pretty decent showing tonight, better than the last few weeks. A couple of guys left right after I got there, didn't get a chance to meet them. But here are the pictures...

The guy with the TU250 is John, I think he was just riding by and stopped to chat. I gave him a card and told him about the forum, we'll see if he shows up. Pretty cool little bike.

And I had my first Super Sonic double cheeseburger. Not bad.

Russ, Sorry about that. I fixed it now. I wasn't paying attention and thought that Gwen had posted the pics since I watched her walk around taking some. Thank you for posting them up so quick.

Russ,

Thanks for the posting. Sorry that I had to run and be so rude, (should have introduced myself, Bob), but I am sure we'll be able to meet up again soon enough. I'm with one with the limecycle mesh jacket on the blue Connie.

That was a great jacket. It's bright enough to light up the road at midnight with no headlights. I like it!

The RC51 pilot was Joe. The face blindness got me, thought it was John there for a bit, but we got it sorted out before John arrived. (I just thought he had a new toy...)

I was messing around with HDR stuff (Elijah's fault and I've never met him), but none of them worked the way I wanted to, so have some pics to share that are normal, that hopefully won't be repeats too much of what Russ posted. The only person I missed was Marty. He left before I thought to get the camera out.

The other John with the TU told us about a ride. He said that Rock Creek Rd plus some BLM roads could be taken to Cottage Grove. I'm interested in checking that out, if anyone wants to do so - slowly. Think, riding with your grandma... Let me know. I am working on fixing the fear issues that cropped up a while back plus making textbook perfect corners. I figure mechanics first, speed second.

Love the TU. Can you imagine what could be done as a small displacement retro cafe racer with that fuel injected 250? Plus, the red to black fade paint is just icing. Yeah, I got goofy over the little thing.

So, here are my contributions to the pics of last night:

Bob asked to have his pic taken with the sign. Why would you want to speed up a B-last? Thought all you had was the Connie?http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/t...ndsigngood.jpg

Here's to the retro bikes! We needed to have the dream present too![IMG][/IMG]

Gwen

Two pics didn't work, so let me try that again.

Here's Bob and the sign again:

Then, Reese's Hawk didn't show. Does it count as Retro if it's the real deal?

No problem, there will be other bike nights.

Reese was also there, but I just noticed I missed the picture of his bike when I was posting the links. Here's the Screamin' Hawk...

Doesn't matter, post everything you've got. I want to see 'em all. I didn't think to get pictures of everyone together this time.

Would have if I could have. Can't dance worth beans. Hopefully my enthusiasm for the little FI thumper didn't scare the you-know-what out of him. Some of us think that TO should use a few of those on the range. Such a nice little bike, stylish, dependable... Did I mention cute?

You got all the bikes that were there, so I think we're good. I didn't even bother taking one of mine, but you got it. Thanks.

I didn't get Marty's bike. I didn't realize he was there until you mentioned it. He must have left just before I got there.

My thought is that if we are going to do it, let's do it so that we can start putting the word out for newly interested folks. Also, do you have anymore cards? I missed the last opportunity to put them on the two bikes up at the college last night. That is without making a special trip...

So, I'm game for Abby's or Sonic or?

Well, no one is chiming in to suggest new locations or agree to changes, so it's till Sonic then?

I don't know if I can make it this week. I've got a high security padlock on my bike and it's jammed, can't get it off, so I can't get it out of my shop. I tried penetrating oil, tapping on the key, cutting it with a Sawzall, also tried my 30" bolt cutters, which didn't even scratch it. I'd try dynamite if I had any. A locksmith is supposed to call me in the morning, he said he can cut it off. I'm hoping he can make it out here tomorrow, otherwise I'm bikeless.

I see you are in winston. I have a dremel tool so all's you would need would be some cutting disks. Bi-mart has them I am sure. Let me know in a PM if you need some assistance.

It's a sad commentary on our society when we laugh at someone's dilemmas and only the guy with the lame jokes offers to help. Honestly, I didn't even think about a cutting disk, duh. I don't know if we have any more that are usable. My husband grinds them down to nubs on a regular basis around the farm. There always seems to be something that he is cutting or modifying. Hope you can get the RE cut free. We need that bike. It brings in the folks!

Thanks for the offers of help, but I used this as an excuse to go out and get a dremel tool. I needed one anyway, and it cost less than the locksmith quoted me. I'll get to work on it tonight.

These last couple of days have been one thing after another. I was lubing the cables yesterday and I broke the clutch switch. Not really important, I use the kick starter anyway. Still, another thing to fix later. Then I spent two hours today trying to get that lock off (two hours I had planned to spend replacing the decompressor valve). I took the kids to their karate class later and ran to Wal-Mart while they were in class to get the dremel tool. First thing I did when I got to Wal-Mart was lock my keys in my truck. Had to have my dad come pick me up and take me home to get the spare key while my mom picked up the kids. Too bad I don't drink anymore, I need a beer.

Ok, I have to admit it, I chuckled about the keys in the truck. Believe me, I've had those weeks. You just want to go back to bed and stay there till all the mess blows over. Hope things get better tomorrow.

Maybe swing by Walden Books or something and pick up a copy of "Humor for Dummies" to give him?

Dremel. It was cheaper than a locksmith, and I've been wanting to get one for a long time anyway, I just kept putting it off. Cutting through the shank took a while because the chain links were in the way, the angle forced me to also cut into the case at the same time. But I was able to cut most of the way through it and cut the rest with my bolt cutters.

What a pain in the arse. So much for security.
