I know.. but that's all that bike is really worth, and the real problem is that my girlfriend and I are stuck without transportation, we are going to try to move to portland in a couple months.. so we might be getting a car, and my bike will have to wait until i have a job..

That is one hell of a good find... that looks very clean and stylish for an 83... and the hard cases alone were probably $1700.... good thing my financial aid hasn't hit yet....

I thought this was pretty funny. Then again, looking at the pics gives me instant flashbacks of a scooter that was stolen off my porch last year. had a goofy yellow sticker on the side of the engine that looked just like that, boasting the cc's. i tried taking it off once but it was on there good. wonder, if it were mine, and they couldn't manage to get the sticker off, would it maybe still have the vin number stamp too? i wouldn't mind so much having my $300 scooter show up as a $600 custom deal.

If you still have the vin number it would be worth a shot... do you have the police report of when you reported it stolen?

cool I would love to have someone watch me work that way you can say "hey your gonna break it if you do it that way" I'm thinking that maybe I should try to grease the bearings while I have the wheel apart too is that hard? and having someone around with the right tools would be a good thing also like a chain breaker would be nice since I"m going down in size on the rear sproket then I can start saving to go up in size on the front sproket obviously the goal is to be able to cruise at 65 or so

I could see myself on that... I like how it doesn't have the huge cylinder heads jutting out the side begging to be scraped...
