The Best of Trance series of CDs is great. Mellow stuff: Only have one suggestion, but a new band... Fleet Foxes. Real mellow. Good stuff though. |

| WMRRA Qualifier Joined: Jan 2008 From: Warrenton, Oregon I Ride: 2004 Yamaha R1 | These guys are my newest favorite group, and they're local, from Portland. I mentioned them before, but here's a video. It was filmed at Big Red in Astoria. I've met these guys and they're really cool. Even did a bicycle tour of the west coast. Isreal, the lead singer graduated from Seaside HS, and the base player from Astoria. Isreal's parents own Big Red. You can see a lot of the damage from the wind storm of Dec 07. It took the top floor roof off the building and blew it in to the river. |

| Superbiker Joined: Mar 2009 From: sutherlin, oregon I Ride: cb750 | the gorge is a fabulous place to see music.. been there many times before and after the fix up.. i must say that the bathroom situation improved greatly after.. as dont ask, hehe... anyways..i found that listening to music while riding always changes my ride. when fast hard stuff is on, i end up somewhere around mach 4.2...ive never had slow mellow stuff to roll with. i was aware of the influence and stepped up my attention but still wasnt as sharp with no music.. i love to listen and ride. babes in toyland, bikini kill, hole, danzig, judas priest... ooo i remember i do have one mellow thing. its 6 rounds. not bad... what have you decided to go with jammer?? |

I separate my riding into three playlists depending on mood: Beats (hip hop), Smooth (R&B), and Adrenalin (rock)...Adrenalin is the most fun when I ride. |

| Pit Crew Joined: Jul 2008 From: Kirkland, WA I Ride: 07 Yamaha FZ6, 06 Suzuki Boulevard S50 | I unsnapped some of the padding and slipped some ear buds between the cracks inside my helmet. They stay there, I can hear everything around me, and my ears never hurt. I just plug my ipod in when I put on the helmet and I'm good to go. And I'm no good with mellow music so I won't even try. I have 27 hours of buttrock on my playlist. |

| Endorsed | ![]() There is no law in Oregon prohibiting headphones or earbuds while driving or riding. There is a lot of discussion on whether its a good idea. Some will tell you that its asking for someone to run you over repeatedly with a steam roller, while others are pretty laisse faire about the whole thing. I frequently wear mine (I have some cheap skull candy knock-offs that I use with an IPOD). Frankly, I can hear about as well with those and a moderate volume as I do with foam earplugs in. They really knock down the windnoise and make riding long distances a lot more relaxing. As always, situational awareness requires all of your senses. F-Dog |
