Is this someone from this forum??
I can't locate an online article,it seems the Snooze Review only puts PART of the paper online,so I'll type it out...

"A Roseburg man was hospitalized after crashing his motorcycle into a power pole on SE Main St early Tuesday morning.Police believe David L. Allen,22,was riding a 2006 Kawasaki Ninja on the 1500 block when he left the road,struck a curb,then a power pole at about 12:45 AM.He was taken to Mercy Med Center with what appeared to be several broken bones.He was later transferred to Sacred Heart Med Ctr.His condition was not available this morning.

Police believe Allen was under the influence of intoxicants at the time of the crash,and he was cited for allegedly driving impaired."

Nope, I'd know if there was another Ninja in the Group other than Jeff, and he has an 07 Ninja I believe.... doesn't say if it is a 250, 500, or 650 which I have seen all three in the area out on the road....

You drink, you ride, you take your chances....

Maybe it is old age, maybe it is the life I have survived, but I don't drink any beer, wine, liquor or spirits before during of even right after riding.

I have seen to many injured people who broke these rules and didn't make it around a corner, drifted across the centerline, missed seeing the stop sign or whatever. You might guess they were drinking, but would you believe they had drunk 2 beers each, no more. 2 beers got them killed.

Shame really.

Hey wait a second........You 650R guys already have the upper hand when it comes to numbers. Lets recruit some 600 supersports and literbikes to round out the crowd.

I would say we need another BMW and another Aprilia, but that would water down the elitist prick-ness that is now present

.. and we musn't have THAT. We have two BMW's, though. I could get my neighbor to show up on his R1150RT or whatever it is.

I've been handing out cards and telling folks about Thursdays. Hoping we have a good crowd again tonight.

You guys did tell DareBear about the "first-timers buy everybody burgers" thing,didn't you?

I wouldn't want him to run out of money,remember the last guy that didn't have enough,that was unspeakably brutal what those Sonic guys did to him...

we had a meeting before and thought it best to break you in easy. we didnt want you to run away scared so for now you are in the reel you in time period which is reserved for just such occasions.
