Cool I need a bike..
But i can't afford to buy one, so i was hoping that i could find a fellow roseburg rider with an old bike that they are willing to part with for cheap.

I can do payments, i get paid every week.

That's the thing... I could find one.. but i would have to find one and be able to make payments on it.. Now if someone off the forum wanted to buy a bike for me then i would make payments to them, that would work.. Lol.. no, i'm just trying to find something cheap, cause i can't spend too much money on a bike, i need to also get a phone and pay off some tickets..

This one is a good deal at the asking price, but it's been listed for over a week,so you could probably talk him down $100 or maybe $200...Perhaps Cascade could float you a loan?

http://salem.craigslist.org/mcy/1241679816.html

I've also been talking to Cascade about a Sabre parts bike that's cluttering up my garage, but it's not entirely complete(minor stuff missing),and the tranny may need to be rebuilt...Which is more work than I want to do,but I have 2 that already run so I'm not as "motivated" as you are...

You know at first I thought "what the hell" when I read this thread.. but then I looked at your age- you are 18 so let me tell you about a little thing called a SAVINGS acct. You take that money you want make payments with and you put it in a savings acct, and then when you have 5-6 c-notes you start shopping. CL, your friends, whatever. I saved for a year to buy my bike (and spent three months looking for it to cause I am kinda particular about what I want.), and you know what? I DIDN'T DIE FROM NOT HAVING IT!

sheesh you kids today... why in my day we had to change the TV channel ourselves...

A VW tech i know has the funniest thing i have ever seen. it's a VW repair kit, and all that is in the package is a rubber band. I crack up whenever i see it.

Oh you just wait. You too will be doling out great bits of wisdom soon.

I do have to say though, thank you for not driving with no insurance. That is truly a dumb move that helped to land the guy that caused my accident 6 mos in jail.

If you can't afford to drive it, then don't. It seems like you already figured that out though

Smart is learning from your mistakes
Wise is learning from others

Which would you rather be?

Hey do what you like, all I am sayin' is that if your bus breaks down and you go around looking for cred on a bike (when your 18 and probably still have a few lay downs ahead of you), expect to get a little grief.

And FYI I always always ALWAYS paid cash up front for my ride/car. I am 40 and still have never taken out a car loan.

ok wait, you "cant afford insurance"? Sounds like what you need is not another motor but rather a bicycle till you learn to drive right. Or a job that pays the bills your leadfoot/bad hand writes!

Better get comprehensive on that bike you get if it aint yours.

So you (18, bad driving record, no phone, unable to pay his bills) wants someone to buy you a bike so you can ride it and make payments on it? And then you get all pissy when someone points out that you are what lenders refer to as "high risk"?

hey you find someone willing to float you a bike, more power to you. Me i will just keep working and riding my own ride.
