I've been searching their website, but I don't think they've posted it online. If I recall correctly, a 48 year old lady named Terry Singh was going down Airport Rd last Friday when a car pulled out in front of her. She tried to swerve but hit the car. She was airlifted to a hospital in Springfield. I don't think it mentioned the extent of her injuries. Does anyone know her? |

My guess is that,as with a lot of scooters, the scooter driver was hugging the curb a bit,and the car didn't see the scooter...It seems that although they are motorized,a lot of scooter drivers tend to stay really close to the bike lane, which makes it pretty amazing that we don't see more of these... |

Two wheels and motorized literally means a motorcycle, just they don't get the finer nuances of the meaning of the word. Grrrr. This is the same paper that not to long ago, called a low-winged airplane a "bi-plane" because it had "two wings". Yeah dolt! They don't count the wing as being seperate wings right and left on airplanes. I resisted the temptation to set them straight, figuring the owner of the airplane had that privilege. Now, I do need to email an author and correct her misinformation on how a motorcycle shifts. Somehow, she has it in her brain that it is possible to "miss a shift and catch 3rd instead of 4th." If I had a dollar for every technical foul-up in movies, tv or books, I'd be rich. Gwen |
