Makes my heart go pit-a-pat, except for the squared-off barrels. That's an aesthetic design flaw that crept into British bikes some decades ago, and detracts from the uniquely-British shapes of the past, which were so organic. The problem with "modern" motorcycle design stemming back three or four decades resulted from the incorporation of large fairings, enabling the designers to just worry about function of the hidden mechanicals, and stop making the working parts beautiful to look at, too. This unfortunate design ethic has "progressed" now to the point that there are many, many bikes with fake parts, such as the "fuel tank" and "air scoops" on the V-Max, which are merely covers for ugly machinery. In my opinion, covers should only be used for protection (e.g., heat shields), or for appropriate aerodynamics. I mean, really, if you like sheet metal so much, buy a car.

That is one sexy Norton.

I remember seeing Kenny Dreer show off his Norton's @ Infineon. I think they wanted around the 20k mark at the time for them. Exclusive, but very non-cookie cutter.

Just drop dead sexy.

I've ridden one of the original proto's. Very close to what this is.
It is a VERY roarty motorcycle.

At the current exchange rate, it would be $26,000.

Hmmm, cool Norton or one of many carbon copy tourbikes...? I would be leaning towards the Norton, but my passenger has already stated she would like a full dresser with a heated seat and stereo. Kids these days!

Nortons are definately sex on wheels. I had an '87 880 Commando and it was a blast. First bike I rode.

I was sad to see Kenny Dreer fail, would have been cool to have the Snort'n Nortons coming out of Portland.

A Kenny Dreer vintage rebuild?
There really was no '87 Norton otherwise, last production years was '77 and an 850.

I've always had a soft spot for the Nortons. Gorgeous bikes. The Dreer bikes are beauties too. At least a new Norty is coming out and it looks to be a hoot.
