It has cargo pockets on the thighs and one on the chest... ![]() ![]() There are stretch panels across the lower back and the knees... ![]() The sleeves have snaps to adjust for different arm sizes and a strap to secure the cuff (and the left sleeve has a zippered pocket)... ![]() Zippers have velcro-secured flaps over them, there are waist straps to secure it tighter around the middle, and there's a flap across the lower half of the front opening... ![]() The legs have a strap to secure the bottom around your ankle, and they unzip all the way up to the waist... ![]() As does the liner... ![]() The hip protection is nothing special, just a flat pad. But it's better than nothing... ![]() It has Armadillo armor over the elbows and knees... ![]() And the shoulders... ![]() This is the back pad (which I'll leave out because I always wear my Spidi back protector)... ![]() The liner is secured in place with a combination of zippers, snaps, and velcro, and it has a breast pocket on the inside. It has a full-circumference zipper around the waist so you can separate it into upper and lower halves... ![]() There's a neck warmer/windbreak that attaches to the outside back of the collar with a zipper, secures in the front with a snap, and the end secures with velcro. Here it is separated from the collar... ![]() And attached and done up (it covers my whole neck and it's very comfortable)... ![]() There are zippered vents with mesh inside on the chest and front of the shoulders... ![]() And on the back of the shoulders and the middle back... ![]() It's made of something they call Carbolex, supposed to be super tough, and waterproof/breathable like Gore Tex. If you're trying to figure out the size, I'm 5' 10" and I ordered an XL. The legs are just a bit long when I'm standing, but in the riding position the length is perfect: the end of the legs and sleeves are right at my ankles and wrists. The location of the knee armor concerned me at first. They were too low. But when I removed them to take pictures of them, I realized the pocket is adjustable up/down for three positions. I moved them up into the middle spot and now they're perfectly positioned over my knees. It covers my knee and about 1/3 of the way down my shin. Same with the elbow/forearm. I tried it on how I think I would be dressed for cold weather, with regular long johns, a set of fleece thermals over that, then the suit with liner (there would still be room for a set of sweats as well, but I didn't try that). It fits good all over (although I have no use for the waist straps At $200, I think this suit is a steal and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something for cold weather. And yes, I know I have an ugly carpet. Last edited by Pony Trekker; 11-03-2009 at 05:27 PM.. |

I have not seen a suit like this available for nowhere near the same price. Glad you like it and thanks for putting the pics up... I have assurances my suit will be shipped tomorrow... at 6'1" I ordered a large, I hope it fits now that your XL fits you like it does... |

So I just went with the usual first class shipping to my P.O. box. They shipped it out on Tuesday and it got here on Friday. |

For me waiting an extra day is more efficient then having to have my ex fiance ship it once she gets it.... At least it wouldn't cost me flowers LOL

I had my cell phone and wallet in the cargo pockets and they came out dry. I also used the neck warmer/windbreak, it did a good job of keeping the wind out and keeping my neck dry and warm. |

I am 5'11" - 6'01" depending on the convenience store I am walking out of... I ordered a Large that is for an inseam of 32". I have about a 34" inseam but the legs on this thing are longer than my 34" jeans... ![]() ![]() Now on first fitting I adjusted the knee pads up using the kneeling position to gauge where they needed to be, after getting on the bike they were too high and put them back to the default position which is the lowest position. The suit really fits like a glove and ordering one size above what should fit is the way to go IMHO. it gets tight around the belly making the adjustment straps useless, but lets me know I need to work on losing my belly.... I tried some action shots but it is difficult without a rider along side taking pics but did manage to get this one.. ![]() Most came out blurry like this one... ![]() |

As for the dark colors, this thing is deceptively reflective though it is hard to tell from the daylight pics. Anyone still debating on getting one, y'all should know there is a 12 month warranty that covers manufacturing defects. From attached tag: "We here at Fieldsheer stand behind everything we do. With decades of experience in manufacturing motocycling gear, we use only the highest quality materials and workmanship to produce our products. Because of this we offer a 12 month warranty from the date of purchase on all our products. This covers any defect in workmanship or materials. If a claim should arise during this period, simply return the item with the purchase receipt to the place of purchase for prompt repair or replacement. Once we have deemed any defect to be truely due to material or workmanship, we will repair or replace it." |

I'm 6'2" with a 32" waist and 34" inseam. I hate wearing baggy stuff to ride in, and to get the length right it seems I would end up with a 40"+ waist according to their fitment chart .... ![]() Anyone a similar shape to me who has tried one of these? |

I ended up disregarding their sizing chart. None of it made any sense. After trying mine on again last night to compare myself in the mirror with Varment's pictures, I can see that mine is slightly roomier than his. But I'm not as tall as him and my suit is a size larger, so that makes sense. But I can still pull the waist in with the two waist straps if I want to. I also like the option of having more room for extra layers if I want it. So if you're 6'2" (that's taller than Varment), I'd order an XL. The sleeves on a L would probably be too short for you. The waist straps are long enough so you can take it in quite a bit. If you don't like it, they have a great return policy. You just have to call first to get a return authorization number and they'll exchange it no problem.

I took it out last night, no rain but it was cold enough to see myself breathe... I had just jeans and a t-shirt on underneith and I was toasty warm, left the heated grips off cause the cold on my hands felt good. While I was stopped or off the bike i was actually feeling at the point where I would start sweating, riding cooled it down some but it was still felt like a comfortable 75 degree's inside. An extra layer of fleece and I'd have been dying!!! the way the suit closes up I have no doubt that rain will not get in through the zippers, and the zipper pockets on the front seem to seal nicely. I am loving this suit and may even take out the liner and see how it vents in the summer time...

| Pit Crew Joined: Jul 2009 From: Winston, OR I Ride: Nighthawk S 700, Royal Enfield Bullet 500 | If you want to drop the upper half of the suit and secure the arms around your waist, you can do it by snapping them together using the snaps on both arms. I just tried it, it works fine. There's also the velcro straps at the cuffs, they could be used to secure the ends together. Or you could run the velcro strap of one cuff through the snap thingy on the other arm. So regarding the length of the arms around your waist, there are plenty of options for securing them at different lengths. ![]() Last edited by Pony Trekker; 11-20-2009 at 08:40 AM.. |
