Interesting that the new Motorcyclist has an MC Garage/Smart Money writeup of the 2000-2003 Aprilia Falco. Cheers are impressive power in a sweet-handling chassis. Jeers are a limp shock, potentially fragile clutch and limiting cornering clearance. Verdict is a drastically undervalued Italian you can live with for years.

Also smart purchases in the Falco's class are the Honda VTR1000 Superhawk, the Suzuki SV1000S and the Yamaha FZ1. Superhawk seems like the best choice, except for a 3.5 gallon fuel tank.

Sadly, I've decided NOT to pick up the ZX. Thanks for all your support! I know y'all love it. It's just not what I'm looking for. Mundefined was great, and took extra photos and spoke to me on the phone, etc.. I let him know I was moving on and he was a great sport.

Somebody buy that thing!

The Sprint I listed in the poll is salvaged and is QUITE banged up. Probably not an option.

I'm giving my attention to VFRs, preferably Gen 5. I'll have to give a little more than $2k but I may have something in the works.

Not really.... There is about a 38k mile difference between those two bikes... No brainer IMO

ummm. not quite a hurricane but still cool. this bike is up on the other list. sounds like a goodie.

anyways...ive got a hurricane in with the herd but im saving it for my son. id be tempted to get it out if ou got this one cascade... yours'd be white, mine would be red... can NOT beat a hurricane. the original spanking machine. you wont see all your freinds riding one. not a box bike...

you werent obligsted to that ZX anyways... and you dont want someone elses problem bike with the sprint. the right bike will fine you and youll know.. whatever you get ill allow you to ride with me.

(as long as it is THE brand, not an OFF brand) lol

By impressive I was referring to the number of miles that CBR has combined with how clean it is.

I can't show what I'm biting on. It's not all-ages.

Seriously though, folks, I'm getting all up in a VFR.. I just never did feel like I "belonged" what with all these Honda fanboys (and girls.) So there you have it.

I've had a ZX-11 and an F3, I'd pick the Zed. but having said that, I cant throw rocks at that F3 for 2k. Being that you are on a budget, Prolly the big deciding factor is what either bike will cost you in the first year of ownership ie service history and upcoming service requirements and any known deficiencies to either bike. *cough* Honda manual cam chain tensioner *cough*.
