Did they say how long you'll be down? I broke my fibula, down near the ankle, my regular "doctor" said I'd get a boot and be able to return to work, then the orthopedic told me 6 weeks absolutely no weight on it, then he started talking about like 3 months. I guess I can kiss my job goodbuy!

Mine wasn't as bad as yours. You had an open fracture, mine just has a crack in it seen on the xray, but it remained alighned, so I don't need surgery.

I am pretty sure until sept. at least. They put in 18 pins and some flat bar plus all the skin was wore down too. Have not been given any specific date line yet and not pushed asking either. Figure I would just get more depressed if they gave me a date. Only been 2 weeks and already sick of it plus being bored to death. Went back to work Thursday since I just sit at a desk has not been to bad and at least out of the house.

Dave - Hugs and prayers for you too. Man, it's sort of weird how the two of you are on the injured list. I've had some pretty close calls, and not all of them involving cagers. Is it the moon or something? Are the planets aligned?

Heal up quickly. Glad you could go back to work Dave. Being housebound is no fun. Ben, are you able to get out and about or are you stuck?

I've been stuck for about 4 weeks, but the last 2 days I drove the hay truck, I was in the seat for about 5 hours straight and I went out to dinner on crutchs last night. I really want/need to get out and mingle, I'm going nuts! I had just started a job 1 month before the wreck.
It seemed like the cosmic forces were against me. I had ordered a tire from JP Cycles and it got backordered, I got no answers when I called them, a month later I ordered a different size tire, so when I crashed I was on a bald front tire, numerious other things happened that night that lead to my wreck. Seriously, I think the grim reaper had it out for me.

Hay truck? You got hay? Actually I'm looking for someone to cut ours.

Seriously, if you need a ride let someone know. I'm going to be gone most of this next week, but after that... Didn't even think about it earlier, sorry.

If you do this again next tuesday, I'll try to make it (cage). Maybe dave can come and we'll call it "wheelchair night", or crutch night.

Nope not doing it weekly. I think we're shooting for the 12th of July. Basically the second Tues. of the month. I can maybe afford that.

I have a rule for this summer that I want everyone to pay attention to. NO FUNERALS FOR FOLKS THAT I KNOW, ok? Take it easy and keep the rubber side down.

Side note - remember new prescription drugs can impair rider readiness. Yesterday, not a good ride for either of us.
