South County Bike Night Tues 7/12

Hey for those up for a bit of a ride, a second Tues. night bike night at Ken's in Canyonville. This time, I'll have a camera with me. Duh. 6 pm downtown across from both the elementary and the academy. There should be a baby ninja sighting unless I can find it a new home.

I told a couple of people about it and they said they saw the bikes there last time and want to come. Anybody that wants to group ride down, let me know.

Don't think I can make it, leaving for Georgetown, Ca. tomorrow morning & planing to return the 12th. Might make a 2 day trip home by cutting over to the coast to beat the heat.. Will be there if I'm back in time.

If you are, great. If not no worries. Just picked a day - 2nd Tues. of each month, and am trying to stick with that as much as possible. So, Let's see, August's 2nd Tues. is the 9th. So those not able to make it this time, be looking at Aug.

Me, I'm thinking Taco Salad again!

That would be awesome! I might be a total glutton for punishment and get to the Sonic one too this week.

Though haven't heard anything from Hobi yet on the little bike.

Sure Mel. Lets meet at Ray's parking lot in Green dist. at 500. We can take hwy 99 and Dole Rd. down. I think it starts at 600. I can find us a couple of roads to keep busy on until then.

Had to order a part during a week that included a holiday. This part wasn't something that I feel comfortable in trying to put on myself, so I imagine there'll be a wait for shop time too.

Now my Jetta's part came in and Stace and I installed it in the Harbor Freight parking lot in Eugene in ten minutes. The dealership estimated two hours shop time for it. Hmmmmm, would that be ten for working and then the time for all the techs to take a break?

However the Ninja saga continues, but the end is very near.

I have lived out here for six years and still have yet to see the S. Umpqua Falls. Geesh, is that lame or what? I might have to go see if I can find them before the meet-up, or after...

You have to go see the falls. Plan a ride up there, i'll go with you. Hwy227, or Tiller/Trail hwy, used to be a lot windier than it is now. Has always been a great destination for bike riders. Just the falls themselves are pretty cool. Its like a rapid descent fall more than a cascading picturesque type of thing. Super fun to swim there. (we need to cure your lameness)

Is everybody ready? Plan on being st Ray's Food Place in Green at 445, KSU at 500 for the trip down. If anybody wants to group ride down.

Possibly the PR guy with Team Oregon may join us. So, I'll let him know about the group ride down, and maybe we can do one up to the falls after we eat. I will just go ahead and take the direct route. Baby Ninja is no longer ailing and is raring to go!

Ok, so I have friends coming from Glendale as well as the Team Oregon guy coming, as long as there is a chance that folks will show. Anyone still coming despite a little dampness?

I'll still be at Ray's at 430-445, kick stands up at 500. I'll be 2 up and havent heard of any drop outs yet. Its misting a bit here, but no heavy stuff.
