| Chicken Strips   Joined: Apr 2009 From: Roseburg,OR I Ride: 1984 Naked Goldwing 1200,1993 ST1100 | Ride to Becky's Saturday! Cindy and I are going to Becky's in Union Creek on Saturday... Sonic at 9:15,on the road between 9:30 and 10,depending on confirmed,but late,arrivals... The route will be slab,(I HATE the freeway),to Canyonville,then Tiller-Trail Hwy (Hwy 227) to Hwy 62 to Union Creek for lunch.I hear the huckleberry pie is exceptional... Onward to Hwy 230 and then turn onto Hwy 138 and home... Gas stops as needed for whoever may need them... I've never been all the way through on Tiller-Trail Hwy,so please plan on a few stops... I want to stop at Lost Creek Lake,Becky's,of course,and again at Diamond Lake Resort,with the possibility of a couple more stops "just because"... And of course,an obligatory "Pacific Pride" run for Gwen,because I'm sure none of us wants her to lose her pride...  But because of all the potential stops,if you plan on staying with us the whole way,plan on it taking a good part of the day...I refuse to hurry... Gymbo figured this on the ST Owners site as approximately 230 miles RT from Roseburg... Thats said,all are welcome to go for any part or all of the ride... If you want to go and have a problem making the start time,post up here and we'll work with it... Soooo,who's in?? |

Of course, it was about the time that I discovered how much happier my bike is with non-ethanol. Oh well.... The huckleberry pie is Exceptional. It's the best thing ever! I'll be going the following weekend. |

It was a beautiful day and a very enjoyable ride. There were a lot of people out this weekend enjoying the beautiful weather so unfortunately there were too many people waiting to eat at Becky's so to save time we ate at a very good Bar B Q stand across the street. We'll have to wait until another time to try the huckleberry pie. There were also a lot of people having fun at Diamond Lake Resort where we stooped for a while and I took a couple of pictures.     |
