Drag Boat Races,anyone?

This is happening this weekend,Aug 20-21,in Lakeside,which is south of Reedsport on 101.Cindy has never seen boat drags,so I thought a ride was in order.For those of you that enjoy NHRA Drag Racing,(on pavement),imagine the same funny car engine in a boat,on water,(which is known for being very "non-flat").

Anyway,if you think this might be a way you could spend your Saturday,post up...Start time/location subject to discussion..

Heading to Reedsport tomorrow. Going to work on my house, may come back on Sat. or Sun. not sure which. May go to the Blackberry fest in sutherlin. My plans are up for grabs.

I forgot to say, up town Reedsport is 25mph and they do whatch it very close. They have a officer that will sometimes step out into the cross walk and a potrol car sitting near by.

Be carefull going thru that town.

Promised Amy a trip to the coast soon. This sounds like fun, just so much going on this weekend. Blackberry, roundy round races and Cherokee's grandson's 1st b-day.

Well Rick,if you and Amy want to ride with us to the races,give me a call.I'm not planning on staying there longer than 2-3 hours,so most likely we'll be back in the area by 4 or so...

I'm not going to say we meet anywhere and leave at a certain time,but if we get any interest in this,we'll figure it out...
